I would love anything you write as I personally believe that it is the silence between Christians and Muslims that is creating the terror (fear). It is time to open the dialogue.

Might I suggest a starting point - the upcoming Eid celebration. It would be interesting because it celebrates events in the life of our common "father" Abraham, but the account in the Quran is a little different from that in the Hebrew scriptures.

First, not to sound disrespectful, but I don't need to know Islam, to know you, you were born exactly as I was, what we truely are is how we all already know everything there is to know about each other.

The day I was born, I knew everything about you, on the day you were born, as did you about me.

The only thing you can tell me, is about how your culture, rituals, and beliefs are different from other culture, rituals and beliefs.

Although I find those things interesting, and like to know about them, they won't tell me who you truely are.

Ok, why no pork? And are there other foods your beliefs forbid you from eating?

Can muslim women be doctors, teachers and scientists?

Can muslim women wear bikinis?

Can a muslim man have many wives?

Can a muslim marry a jew, a christian, and atheist?

Do all muslims know what all Islamic beliefs are exactly?

What exactly determines when it is ok for a Muslim to kill someone?

In the bible, for instance, where it says that it's ok to stone to death a disobediant son, it only hints at what constitutes "disobedience" so it leaves it open to a parent's own interpretation, as to when it's ok to have their child killed by the town folks.

If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who does not obey his father and mother and will not listen to them when they discipline him, his father and mother shall take hold of him and bring him to the elders at the gate of his town. They shall say to the elders, "This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a profligate and a drunkard." Then all the men of his town shall stone him to death. You must purge the evil from among you. All Israel will hear of it and be afraid.

I think I read that Islamic laws allow the killing of people for "causing disturbance" which is also pretty vague. Does the quran say this, and if so what constitutes "causing disturbance"?

The question is always - why should we know about Islam?

Give 5 reasons (or 10?) why should anyone know anything about Islam?

And if you bring the G-word into it - many people would not simply believe it was 'God' that spoke to Mohammad. And who is this 'God' anyway? And why isn't he here today - to continue speaking to all of us?

I think there is confusion as to - whether Islam is linked to the terrorist Muslims in the news of recent times. And how do ordinary muslims view these terrorists who use their religion for the wrong purpose?

And it would not hurt to remind everyone - how much muslims and the Islamic world contributed to our modern world of today - that they have played a significant part in world history and innovation. eg. perfumes is only one area - they are noted to contribute greatly to, also navigation and world trade.

no pork ,no alcohol because they harm the body soooooo much..thats it(!)

muslim man can have 4 wives but in one condition only..he should love ,respect and treat them equally otherwise he is just allowed to marry one..

he can marry a jew or a christian only..she can marry only muslim,the difference here is because of the childrens religion which should be islam

"causing disturbance" means to be like the pharoh who tried to kill moses and the children of israel..he was evil,he killed a thousand child and claimed to be God..well that person was causing disturbance

well I just want you to think..use your common sense..

imagine the life of a women who is married to 4 husbands....weird ha?:|

forget about this religion thing..and imagine..even if its allowed..does it make any sense..

The question is would a woman ever want to have 4 husbands? Let's just say IMHO most women know better. With the divorce rate the way it is maybe we should figure out how to make it work with two people before trying to add more to the mix. Imagine trying to keep tabs on more than one husband.

Four wives to one husband is a great strategy for proliferation of a tribe, especially when the attrition rate for men is high due to mortal combat against infidels or oppressors. Four husbands to one wife would not increase the birth rate of the tribe.

To populate is to govern.

When a choice is given to a man to have upto 4 wives, the same choice should be given to the woman too, if she has equal rights. Right?

Just kidding, I truely do understand your point. But you are to me, more than all your culture, beliefs and rituals, but even though I know I don't "need" to know your beliefs, I am interested in them.

You said pork and alcohol are forbidden because they "harm the body" I can understand alcohol, it's not exactly health food, but what makes pork any worse than beef or eggs or sugar and such. I mean I'm no health expert, but judging by all the "experts" out there, everything but maybe organically grown bean sprouts and tofu, harms the body, lol

The question about women becoming doctors and teachers, is because some of the Islamic run areas forbid women from recieving education.

Four wives? I'm guessing a man wrote that law, lol. It doesn't seem equal, but is this allowed, or practiced much, in Islamic countries?

You are female right? Would you personally be ok with three other co-wives? or do you now have co-wives? And what is the proper term for a co-wife? Cause I just made that word up.

Muslim men can marry christian or jewish women, but muslim women can't? That doesn't seem "equal" either. There was a girl killed in Pakistan recently by her brother. He said he did it because she married outside of the "tribe" are there individual Islamic tribes? Or are they refering to denominations of the religion? (fyi. He claimed it was covered by Islamic law, but the Government said not! and charged him for it.)

There is something else I find something contradictory about the Islamic laws, oppression seems to be one of the really big offenses in the religion, but it also seems to contain some very oppressive laws and rules. Do you see any of the laws or rules to be oppressive?
