Oh boy, here we go. I love my house but I struggle with hand me down clutter like antiques that were my parents. I inherited these things and I' m not sure what to do with them. My mom and dad were hoarders and my sister is much worse than both of them together. I struggle and refuse to become a hoarder. My friends are always saying why do you have so much stuff. I try to keep up with mail. Whoa the junk mail..please save some trees. I do recycle so sometimes I have that lovely mess. To make it worse I have two large dogs and two cats. I do not have human children just the furry ones. I cover my furniture with sheets or blankets to keep them clean and hair free. There is nothing better than having your 4 pawed kids laying next to you on the cough. It is really a lot of work. I have removed most of my carpet and bought a steam cleaner for the floors. Oh yea, I have a basement, thank goodness. Things seen to magicially appear down there, maybe it is just gravity. I mean how else would they get there. This year I had my basement water proofed at a hefty price after water damage to my drywall. No, I was not the idiot that put drywall in my basement, oh did I mention there WAS carpet. Boy do I love the previous owners. Anyway, If you have any ideas that might make my hours of cleaning on Saturdays any easier or how to break free from the hand-me-downs...my ears are wide open.
