Need some postive energy about schools closing.......

I found out today that a couple of our schools will be closing do to being shortage of $4.2+ million dollars in the budget. I guess my question is how do the Goverment expect children to get a good education when every teacher will have at least 29+ kids in their classroom. Let alone around 33+ teachers will lose their jobs. Closing down schools because of lack of money.....I just wished I would of found out sooner so maybe I could of got the community more involved.

I thought lotto money would help teachers as well as schools in need of monetary help??

It is truly sad that because of the government, our children's shools are going to be shut down. I live in the middle TN area and it has been continuously reported on the news that one county in our 'fine' state will be shut down, b/c the budget is not in place. It makes absolutely no sense to me that the government official's pay and perks are going up, yet children are going without text books, and yet my property taxes are going up all in the name of education. Sorry, Mr. Bredesen, I am not buying it anymore....

romebella; boggles my mind how big companies who, because their own greed, can get bailed out but the most precious commodity we have (our children) are only an afterthought............god bless the children.....betty

Schools closing that souds krazy, I can't even pay to get my daughter in school, all the schools keep saying is her birthday fail too late, but if you give her any test she will ace it. I don't want to hear that talk about that's the Law, that's the reason we are not eceeding as human beings, we too busy holding each other back. Tell me what you think AMERICA or any other country for tat matter.
