We Had Him

Just wanted to tell you that I love this poem. I love the fact that Queen Latifah read it at Michael Jackson's memorial. I am amazed that you got him when so many of your peers just don't. The tabloids have done a great job of destroying this man's image in the minds of so many, but I don't understand why Oprah and Gayle have been so negatively influenced given their experiences with the tabloids. I am so worried about Oprah's tribute show cause she just doesn't have the compassion anymore! Michael Jackson was so very much maligned and crucified by the media. He was a unique individual who grew up protected by a barrier from his fellow citizens. He didn't always learn what was socially acceptable behaviour but his intentions were innocent and pure. I wish someone in the mass media would do a thorough investigation and research his innocence. I wish Elizabeth Taylor would step forward and talk to us about her dearest friend! I love the gifts they gave each other. Michael gave her a beautiful tapestry of her photo. She gave him an elephant and an ice cream cart for Neverland. She decorated his house for his first Christmas. I loved their child-like banter over the super water guns on Christmas morning. Watch all on You-tube. What wonderful friends/soulmates they were!
