The majority of the people watching your show are in the low to middle income backet. You are talking about first buying a $50.00 plus pair of jeans and then paying an additional $30.00 plus for alterations, now can you please explain how the average veiwer can afford to do this. My husband makes decent money +$50,000 and we have no credit cards or mortgages and I still couuld not afford to buy custom fit jeans. You also take a lady in jeans and tennis shoes and do these wonderful makeovers to pretty dresses and heels personally I would love to have a professional style my hair and match my makeup, but at 57 I doubt that will ever happen.
Work your legs.... if you have a steep hill in your area somewhere, start climbing it. Climb it straight up walking the regular way, then climb it going sideways.... start on your right side....go up the hill... next time go up on your left side. You'll be surprised how your legs will start looking in a short time. It might help your bum too.
ok so I am a plus sized woman anyway and a 16month old and a baby on the way. I have wide hips but no behind at all..my mom says I am nothing but legs crack and a back. So I need to know what kind of jeans to wear that makes me look like I have smaller waist/hips and a slightly bigger butt. Any seggestions?
At last, there is another woman that is 57 years old that doesn't have limitless funds for a wardrobe. I always looked forward to shows that can feel you feel better about yourself, but the Oprah show has stopped doing that. Getting fashion advise from a celebrity that wears a size 0 does nothing from me. What are the options for regular women that can't afford to have their clothes altered. We all want to look and feel f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s but we can't all be wealthy and have no regard for cost. Are there any shows out there that help women of our age?
It really bothers me that the makeover segments (particularly with regards to jeans & slax) pull one major "slight of hand". The "before" photo is always taken in flat shoes. The "after" photo is always taken in "hooker" heels... 4 inchers. Of course, there is going to be an improvement... but for pity's sake... call attention to the shoe change.
