Hi everyone, Here is a super easy and quick recipe for a very savory dish with an exotic flair. Pair it with your favorite rice and a side salad and dinner's ready in twenty minutes or so for preparation and as long as it takes to boil the potatoes.

(serves about four people)

eight medium potatoes--(I used Russets)

8 ounces of thinnly sliced sirloin steak (I found a package that also can be used for Philly steak sandwiches)

1 tablespoon of grated ginger (fresh is best but you can also use the pregrated in the tube)

4 tablespoons of sugar

4 tablespoons of sake (if you don't have any like I didn't last night, use white wine)

6 tablespoons of soy sauce

Peel your potatoes and cut them into bitesized pieces. Mix the sake, sugar, ginger and soya sauce together in a heavy pan and bring these to boiling. Add meat and bring up to boiling again. Add potatoes and just enought water to cover them. Lastly, bring this to boiling again and simmer until the potatoes are soft and cooked through. Hope you enjoy this simple dish and it saves you some time without sacrificing flavor.:x
