I can't wait to see this show- I sure loved Oprah's Big Give show when it was on. I know exactly who I could help w/ a million dollars and would not want a dime of the money!! It was so much fun seeing that show week after week. What a great message to my kids too.

This will be great too- you can do alot with 1,000 too- especially in times like these. Looking forward to this one.....

This show is two years old. Things got a bit tougher. It would have been great to do this show again with maybe $500. That would have been great.

I have been watching about 14 months now- so I missed that this is a rerun. I have only been a die hard Oprah fan for this past time period, but don't miss a show since the first day I tunedi in.

I definitely think even though times are hard- it is so great to help others. I have to say the BIg Give was the greatest ever. I was so hooked on that show! Loved it.

Looking forward to the re-run.

I just saw the show,, and I was moved to tears. The ideas that people came up with were so special. I wish that Opra could do a show in NYC so that I could get tickets to her show, since I'm not going to be in her town any time soon..

Good work again..

Hi Oprah

I can't remember the last time I was this energized watching TV!

I teach 7th and 8th grade and last week my class and I watched the movie "Pay it Forward". I made a class set of calendars and we have committed to 30 days of kindness without reward. The kids have been busy brainstorming ideas that they can carry out. I'magine my surprise when I flipped on your show today and there it was! Unfortunately, I didn't know it was coming, so I didn't record. I've been busy calling all my TiVo/timeshifting friends and begging someone to record it for me. My kids need to see this show. It's to easy to talk about giving in the abstract, they need to see that people can it.

It's not the first time I've used your show in my teaching. Please continue to inspire us.

Lisa from Toronto, Ontario

You are a God send. You were the first woman I ever started looking up to. I have done nothing but learn from you and your actions. I have nothing to give, yet I want to give so much to so many. I cried for an hour straight. Again, God bless you.. for you are all good and deserving of all our love. If only the whole world could learn a lesson from who and what you are. An angel....an angel of God.

Love Always and Respect Forever,

OPRAH'S FAVORITE GIVEAWAY EVER:

First of all I know this is a rerun....too bad Oprah couldn't do it all over again. I cried again through the entire show. It's so good to see that we have enough love in our hearts to come up with such wonderful ideas. I think she needs to do it again as it inspires individuals about "paying it forward" much longer than one day......it's very contageous.

Second of all, I wanted to comment on how good Oprah looked. Her hair looked amazing and that red sweater looked awsome on her too.

Third of all, Oprah is sooo in to reading books, I want to know just one thing........How in God's creation does she ever find the time to read???????

With the way the Harpo's budget seems to be for this season, I don't think they could've managed 10 dollars a person let alone 500!

This was a great show as a Thanksgiving encore. I would be interested to know how the recepients were a year later. In some cases, the gift was truly life changing.

I watched the Oprah Winfrey Show today and was deeply moved. It just goes to show what can happen when people come together to make a difference. I have a perfect example of Paying It Forward. Back in December of last year I as well as other members of my Sunday School Class were in the planning stages of thinto think of a project to benefit the community. There is a place in Columbia, SC called Epworth Children's Home which serves children from broken families that we chose as our project. We decided to help makeover the cottages at Epworth where the children lived. We had tremendous response from member of our church as well as members of other churches. Local businesses and other members of the community also were interested in helping with furniture donations, supplies etc. There are 9 cottages in all. Our Sunday School Class as well as members of other Sunday School Classes did makeovers for 3 of the 9. We completed the first cottage in mid January of this year shortly after we and other members of my church lost a dear friend to cancer the week before. We completed the last cottage in October. The remaining cottages were adopted by other churches and businesses. It felt great to do this for the children of Epworth. Seeing the excitement on their faces on the work we did for them felt great. This was very fulfilling for me. We were doing 2 things, Serving these children and Serving God at the same time.
