hello

to take care of your face, skin and body is nice thing but in actual the real beauty is in your heart your thinking and in your soul.

if a very smart, tall and golden eye woman behave like an uneducated person or hurt the others through her language or rude

behaviour i don't think that she is beautiful.

if everybody in the world try to explore the inner beauty or the beauty in the hearts i think 75% problems of the world will be finish

and 99% women looking very smart and beautiful.most of the problems between husband and wife that cause divorce and sepration

would be resolved.

regards

I was so surprised to see how Oprah reacted when the guest announced that the Japanese women are striving to have whiter skin. I was expecting to see her make some condescending remarks about how they are trying to make themselves look like white people. But she didn't. I would like to know how the change of heart came about. I saw a show with that disgruntled Lisa Ling as a guest talking about plastic surgeries done in Korea. It seemed Oprah was agreeing to degrading remarks made by Lisa Ling about how these Korean women are trying to look like white people by having plastic surgeries done. It seemed like that discontented and incompetent Lisa Ling was on a mission to debase Koreans by attacking those small group of women out of her own personal vendetta. What disappointed me was Oprah joining the bandwagon. I was quite surprised to see Oprah's reaction. She lost all my respect for her at that moment. I was a faithful fan until I saw that. Did Oprah ever apologize to those Koreans women?

Hello Oprah,

Once again you have done great job by creating balance between humor and showing the beauty around the world without hurting any race/religion of people. However I wonder how the correspondent missed to mention the most important part of sacrificing hair to LORD VENKATESHWARA in Tirupati Temple in India.

Hair is something which is vital part of human beauty to outer world. With hair devoted it is believed that we are leaving our pride and becoming equal to every other human being with no difference between rich or poor, young or old, black or white......

Thank God I am born an American woman. And born in the USA. Those woman over there are treated like garbage. And the husbands can kill them. Sell them the children to. Its never changed since Jesus walked this earth. Shave one's head for the Gods? What God is that? There is only one God. they have to cover there bodies up for if they have one part out the woman can get beat to death.

How horrible. Put rings around there necks and that makes the neck stretch. Which is not good either. Yes they look at this as beauty, but in reality its not.

Beauty is only skin deep and they must learn that its what is inside that counts. Not outside.

Clothes and Jewelry do not make the person, its what is inside, that makes the person.

And they need to learn the real meaning of beauty.

Wow, this show really hit home for me today because I just had a consultation for a tummy tuck TODAY!!! It is obvious that the definition of beautiful differs around the globe, but my reasons for wanting a tummy tuck is to regain the sense of being the "best me" as I can. Eight months ago I delivered triplets without taking any fertility drugs to assist, so you can imagine the roller coaster my mind and body has undergone. I love my children dearly and I could not imagine my life without them, but I would love to have my body back!:_| After receiving the quote of what the surgery will cost me and the fact that we are now living on a one parent income, the surgery is unfortunately probably a distant dream.

THE SHOW WAS GREAT AND IT GAVE ME A LOT TO THINK ABOUT!!!

The tip which the Indonesian woman gave regarding wrapping the cloth around the tummy after child birth really works. In southern part of India too this is done from ages. Infact those wraps are sold in pharmacy shops in India. Indian doctors recommend it after a vaginal birth immediately. And after a c-section its after a month or so i think after the wound is healed. The primary purpose of it is to shrink the uterus(as it gets enlarged for the whole nine months of pregnancy). I just wanted to say its not a new idea its practised in many others parts of the world. its a patented product possibly :-)

As an obese American woman, I can understand the wonder in finding a place where heavy women are considered ideal, but my goodness! Oprah's delight in this country should have been tempered by a lot more shock about the forced feeding of those young girls. This is abuse just as much as if these girls had been starved....all for the sexual/status satisfaction of the men. Though she touched on the health problems these women endure, I could tell that even her guest was a bit taken aback at Oprah joking about the situation that she, as both a woman and daughter of a doctor was trying to explain. We need to get to a place where all sizes and shapes are okay, and the health of the individual is the most important thing.

Its not a "hair god". In many temples across India its considered a novel thing to do that. after a baby is born some parents opt for it. sometimes even the parents or the whole family decided to go for it. and within couple of months their hair grows back. :-)

Also some people if their wish has come true, they might have prayed to a particular god or temple that they will tonsure their head. Its just a belief system.

Just like men shave, people do it for beauty purposes. They believe the next head of hair which grows will be more lustrous and beautiful than their birth hair. :-) Its true to some extent.

So next time anyone who wears a wig do think where it comes from. Because of that cultural practise its helpful for cancer patient who lose their hair due to chemo.

Hello harpobear.

I watched the show.

What offends me is that all the emphasis is always on the beauty of the women and all the pain they have to go through to be beautiful for men or in the case of the girl who cut her skin, to attract a man.

No man would go through so much agonizing pain to attract a woman. I would like to see a man who drinks that "ugly stuff" to keep his skin beautiful and silky. Unthinkable. A man doesn't even mind if his beard is 3 days old and scratchy, he has to give his skin a rest. At least, that is what I am being told.

Male or female, aren't we all humans first. I have nothing against men, but why do women have to give so much to be "attractive?"

A nose job ? A nose is a nose is a nose. As long as you can smell a freshly baked pie with your nose or the delicate scent of a perfume, your nose is fine.

Curly hair (not straightened), original nose, original me :)

Oprah would be beautiful in any country, regardless of cultural beauty differences.
