I just watched the introduction of John McCain's VP pick the governor of Alaska. I can see that she is the perfect running mate for McCain. I am an Independant and I was leaning toward McCain before, but now this pick has cinched who I will vote for this Nov. 4. I see that both candidates want what is best for our country. The whole theme was patriotism and that is what our country needs right now. We need to heal our country before we can heal the world.
Okay people....stop believing only what you hear from the media (with their own agendas) and learn for yourself. It is not the big oil companies driving up the prices.....do your OWN thinking and research and find out who is. I know who is......do you???
Look beyond your television, newspaper and radio and you'll find out!!!!
The more I hear her backstory the more I know she is a girl after my own heart. She was born in Idaho. So was I. She went to Univ. of Idaho, where my father graduated in electrical engineering. She sounds like she was a tomboy (loving the outdoors and sports) and so was I. Although, she also was in beauty pagents. I should have been, but I was too busy with other things.
And I'm sure that if you would have been in the pagents you would have won!!!
The more I read about her the more I like her. McCain isn't my favorite candidate that ever ran but adding Sarah to his ticket just got me excited about this election for the first time. Did you hear her speech today???
I am so happy that John McCain VP pick is a woman from the state of Alaska.
WE do need to heal this country ; and I think Senator John McCain and his VP-Sarah Palin
is what America needs now.

I'm not familiar with her background. I think it is going to help woman in the long run. McCains choice, I think was based on shear political strategy, as Obama's choice. I think they both made good decisions. I really liked Bidens no nonsense replies in the debates. The choice for a woman VP for the Repubs seems ironic. As well as something else that I have noticed is ironic. Before the Dems convention there was a guy praying for a big rain when Obama gave his acceptance speach. He even made a video and played it on Utube. It was pulled pretty quick, but the cat was already out of the bag. Now we are waiting to be hit by a hurricane, and the Repubs are trying to have plan B&C if the worse happens. I'm not saying this is anything, just ironic. I do think we should be respectful when we pray and not pray for ill will on anyone. Perhaps the storm will make landfall in a thinly populated area. I hope and pray it does because we don't need another Katrina.

Also, 4 months she had a downs syndrome baby and didn't do what many women would do in her position (She proves she is pro-life)! She also hunts, fishes, was on the PTA, city council, mayor and then Governor. She took on some corrupt people in her own party! She's one tough cookies!!! LOL!:^0 Watch out OBAMA and Washington insider Biden!!!!!
Really, I read something entirely different on the MSN homepage. Supposedly she took on big oil with a tax increase and now has the state treasury brimming over. Her husband, Todd, was a production operator (blue collar worker) for BP for 20 years. Doesn't sound like an executive to me. How does this square up. Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmm........
love, enfuego
Blockney, I don't know much about this guy praying for rain but you have to take that with a grain of salt. We are in the heaviest part of hurricane season and praying for one doesn't mean that this guy predicted or caused this to happen. That is like someone saying that they are praying for strong winds, hail, etc. to happen when they are in the middle of tornado season in Oklahoma. It's not saying a lot.
I do agree with you somewhat that both choices for VP are political strategy, but at this point you have to use that if you want to win...especially with as close as the race seems to be. Even if it is a political strategy on McCain's part I am at least happy with his strategy. Even if she doesn't have the most experience I am glad to have someone with morals as a back-up should something happen to McCain. God can always guide her and give her the wisdom she needs to run this country if put in that situation.
