good question.... I believe in the Duality of all things, even God. I belive there is a male diety and a female diety both equal (some pagans just worship the Goddess adn some just teh God depending on thier belifes).....I believe without one the other cannot exist. In the tradition i generally follow i believe the Goddess gives birth to God at Yule/winter solstice/december 21st and then at Beltane/may 1st he becomes her lover and then he is "reconcieved" to be born again after he dies at Samhain/halloween (this is generally called the wheel of the year with the yule and the spring festivals/holidays focus on the goddess and the harvest festivals focus on the God there are 8 in all, then you have the 13 full moons).

When i do a "spell" or "pray" sometimes i call on just the "Goddess and God" or i use specific personalitys or names of Gods' (depending on my purpose) much like Catholics use Saints. I also beleive the Goddess has three "forms" or a "holy trinity" Maiden (virgin), Mother (self explanitory), Crone (after childbearing years)... thats where the )0( symbol comes from the maiden is the Waxing crescent, the Mother is the full moon an the crone is the wanning crescent or new moon. Some pagans draw from only one Pantheon, I am the essance of the word ecclectic and draw from Many, i have a Ganesha (hindu) next to my Athena (Greek) I also draw from the Roman and Egyption Pantheons as well....(.we put a Buddha on our altar as well when AJ decided thats what he wanted to "be" these days and a chinese dragon in honor the the olympics in china).... basically i choose my dieties depending on my need or mood at the time.... i tend to go threw "phases" with my God's experamenting with who I invoke and when and the results i get from that invocation. I tend to use Hectate on the New moon regularly. Nowdays i dont have much time to "plan" my rituals as well as i use to with school coming up so when i'm "in a pinch" i just use plain old "God and Goddess"

And for each Ritaul i do i call on a different God/Goddess for each corner i.e Fire is Apollo; Water is King Posidon, Air is Hera and Earth is Gaia (notice i use two of each so its equal). On my alter i usally just have a Venus of Willendorf statue in the middle and a candle repersenting my male and female diety's.

Anyway..... thats what i believe.

the truth remains the truth there is only one God all of creation. All others are false idols. per the Bible.

It would be nice to put a ffuffy version of faith and say we all can believe what ever we want and as long as we love one another in some form or other , we are worshiping God.

Just is not so. God is demanding and requires faith and obedience or acceptance of the consequences.

Okay, now I see what you believe. What do you do with that belief? Are you forming a personal relationship with God? Is that relationship leading you to form relationships with others to show the relationship you have with God? Or can others see your relationship with God just by forming a relationship with you? I do understand a few Wiccan concepts. I am amazed by everything because it is of God.

ggb... i've formed a personal relationship with my Goddess and God... i dont need my relationship with God to form relationships with others.. although my beleife has led me to some very wonderful friends that i consider family b/c of our common beleifes. I belive others can see my relationship with God by knowing me.... i'm a much kinder, gentler, better, loving, peaceful, more spirtiual, more respectful of Mothe Nature and the earth and more in tune with Her (mother nature) thus i think i do more good now to care for the Earth we are blessed with and Her gifts... i also think i'm less judgemental, less bitter and less self-centered now that i have a personal relatinoship with my God(ess).... i'm an all around better person now that I have formed a personal relationship with My Goddess and God... although because of the stigma that comes along with paganism I'm in the broom closet for the most part... i think people cans "see" my relationship with God even though they may not neccessarily know what path i follow.

I'm confused by your last statements are you saying you belive Wicca is of God...or am i reading that wrong?. I guess in your sentace "i am amazed by everything because IT is of God" is the IT wicca or is the IT everything....... just curious...

The it is everything. I watch the moon, stars, and seasons through the sun. Your experience with God is very similar with my experience. I do not understand Wicca enough to know if it is of God. Except, that I couldn't form proper relationships with people before forming a relationship with God. I was always pushing or forcing the relationship. Not through my religion, but through me. In other words, I wasn't a whole person that could just relate with others.

k thanks for clarifying.. i've never had trouble forming relationships... so I cant relate to you on that level (ironic huh).. i've always been a people person... i'm glad though that since you've had a relationship with God that youve found a way to relate to others.. thats a very important thing we humans need and if religon helped you find it.. thats grand.

You misunderstood me. I have always been a people person, also. I just didn't relate to them in a proper way. Because I didn't relate to myself in a proper way. Until I formed a relationship with God. I only related to myself through my experiences and what others reflected back to me. So, I gave what I got. Nothing more and nothing less. Now, I can give even when I don't receive. I can also take hate and return love. I can forgive, even when someone doesn't say sorry. I can say sorry, even if I didn't think I did anything wrong. You yourself stated many things changed in you. Those changes allow you to relate with yourself and others better.

You forgot all the people of the past and in the future. Still one God.

oh ok... i get'cha.... but i do have to say, i've always been able to relate that way... although at different points of my life i did it better or worse than at other points. I think being at the most spritual point i've even been in my life right now i probably relate to people the way you explained it the best that i ever have before.

So to Christians, muslims and Jew's.. yup they'll always say there is only one "true" God. no point in arguing with them either cause thats just how they believe and you cant usualy change thier minds... to each thier own.
