I, personally, would never spend over $20 for a cream; I prefer drugstore brands and look for special offers using coupons/shoppers' cards/ads. Right now, I'm liking those with anti-oxidant ingredients, especially Olay. I don't like any greasy creams, as my face is still the teeniest bit oily in spots. To me, it's best to shop at stores with good return policies, so if the cream just doesn't suit me (gives me a rash or whatever), I can return it for a refund.
"Green Cream" retinol. It's awesome. Took 10 years of lines off my eye area. It's $40 for a 6-to-8 week supply, which may sound like a lot, but this stuff actually WORKS.
gkendrick: You can find a list of vendors at the greencream website. Click on the "buy" link. I suggest starting with the lowest strength (Level 3) to give your skin an oppportunity to acclimate. It is powerful stuff and can irritate your skin unless you work up slowly. But it really really works.
(disclaimer: I have no business relationship with the Green Cream people or any of their vendors. I'm just a satisfied customer."
Burt Bee's Carrot Lotion ... from head to toe. I love this stuff!
GreenCream...?
As a result from Fraxel Treatments on my face, my skin acts totally different. . . .I wash with cetaphil and apply (and i am serious...i have tried everything) a product called BioSkin Care. It is nongreasy and 100% natural. I used the first jar on my face, using a pea size on damp face, patting into the skin and rubbing a little extra on my scars, including three keloid scars on my legs and old tattoo . . amazingly they are vanishing. It just seems to be the perfect product for the fraxeled skin. I just ordered another jar and one for my sixty seven year old mother....so i will update you all on her results too.
I use all organic products. Ladies, you would be surprised what is in our makeup that isn't good for us. Terressential site explains what is good for our skin and what to look for that isn't. Also Cosmeticdatabase is a great site to go on. Look up what product you use and they rate the hazard of them. I have had friends change what they use because of this site. It is very informative and I'm always checking before I buy a product. I wish the US had restrictions like Europe does on organic makeup. They are way ahead of us in this field. We need more FDA guidelines in what goes into our products. Kidauthor
Hey Pinkkklady,
Don't really believe most of the hype surrounding "anti-aging" creams.
To minimize typical effects, (i.e., sun exposure, fine wrinkles, uneven pigmentation . . . ), I swear by two products:
1. {color:#3366ff}Retin-A (requires a prescription)
2. Daily SPF!
A minimum protection factor of 15 is typically recommended. Personally, I prefer SPF 30 or higher.

Hi, been in the "Beauty" business about 30 yrs...show director,..salon owner,..teacher...stylist The one of the SMALLEST molecules to absorb INTO the skin is...extra virgin OLIVE Oil (yes the stuff you cook with) ...or...CANOLA Oil (same too) ....period. Check it out for yourselves. So, it only goes to say the best moisturizer for your skin is one of the above oil....that "absorbs" into the skin. I'm sure we'll get ALOT of feedback saying this is wrong...just check it out for yourself. "SMALLEST MOLICULE" to be able to be "absorbed" "IN TO" the skin....you'll see for yourself.
Kiehl's products are very good also, there is one for firming and fine lines, it is a little pricey
you may all be surprised but ive used avon products faithfully 4 the past 2 years and what a visable difference. im 52 so you need to try the ones suitable 4 your age. if you have sensitive skin the agnew cream in the brown jar was a little too harsh on my skin but everthing else i have tried has been remarkable. u must use a daily regiment faithfully to see any results in the long run with any product but im telling you ladies the compliments i have gotten on my skin and age is payoff enough 4 me. try try try. and im not an avon lady.
I have to say I have tried all the expensive, nicley packaged items claiming to make you look years younger, and thus far, my favorite products are, Aveeno Soy daily cleanser, Oil of Olay Regenerist Serum and Oil of Olay Eye Pods...I see a differance as soon as you use it. And I have never broken out. I am 40, but no on believes it...I am mistaken for a 27-32 year old woman.
Hi Ladies, I personally love The Principal Secret, by Victoria Principal. Been using for about 7 years now. I always get compliments on my looks and my skin. Unfortunately I've always had a battle with my dark under eye circles but that's something that is hereditary and her products are helping me with this as well. When I do treat myself to a facial, which is not too often, I'm always told that my skin is beautiful, pretty cool. I get a delivery every 3 months and can customize my packages. Payments plans are available no matter how many items you order which is good if you're watching your pennies. So to me, if you're happy with a product, stick with it, no matter the price. I'm gonna be 48 in April and am always told that I look 35. My 2 teenage daughters are very proud of me. I've never have had a problem with this company, fantastic customer service. I highly recommend it.
