Was just going to add,
Remember what it was like to sleep in past noon? Havent done that for way too long.
cathy, to be honest, I'm not kicking and screaming because my little grey cells are all tied up in knots and the messages telling me to kick and scream cannot get through!
Look out 21st century, here I come!

No matter what time I go to bed, I'm awake by 5-6
.
No doubt, Michael will sleep in til noon today, especially after his day yesterday. That boy came home beat last night. But, he sure had a good time. If you google 7 falls sabino canyon, you can see where he went. It's really gorgious up there....but there's NO WAY I'd do that in this heat!
What am I gonna do? I was wondering the same thing myself.
It's too doggone hot to clean house. I've already got my back yard pots watered....need to do the front, but have to actually put on clothes, first. For the back, I just hang out in my night shirt...but I have pity on the neighbors and won't do that in the front yard.
I have a suspicion Michael won't be wanting to do anything today except recuperate. But, 17 yr olds do that lots faster than I do, so he might surprise me.

Well, fellow froggies, after giving it some thought, I have decided to persue my hopes of a major clear out. I am a huge clutterbug - not quite a horder yet (don't want to go there). I want to have, by week's end, bags and bags of things to go to the charity shop and more bags to throw away.
My biggest problem with this is fabric and clothing. I have a lot of fabric and vintage clothing saved to use in sewing projects (I quilt and occasionally like to make clothes (both for myself and my Build-a-Bear (you guessed it - frog))). The problem is that I've saved up a lot of this and haven't done much work on the projects. Hopefully clearing out around the things I want to keep will make it easier to get to work on these projects.
Wish me luck. I realize the importance of physically (as well as mentally and spiritually) getting rid of the past so I can fully embrace the present. As I persue this, I WILL remain present. I will be thinking of all of you sending you my love and gratitude. You are helping me grow and be and I thank you with all my heart.
Hold a Good thought for me (I think I'll have just one more cup of coffee before I start!)
Blessings,
♥sinead
sinead,
wish I could come help you. I LOVE de-cluttering!!! I know, I'm wierd! I have helped two of my clutter bug friends do this. Have you read Peter Walsch's book, DOES THIS CLUTTER MAKE MY BUTT LOOK FAT? He's been on Oprah....
I will certainly be your cheerleader for this project!

Thanks for the cheers. They may drown out the complaints of my daughter who hates it when I clean. I use that as an excuse all too often and get very little done.
NOW is different. Full steam ahead. This froggie is primed with caffiene and ready to go!
After that, facebook. Cathylake will probably see through this. (Oh, yes cleaning house to delay setting up a webpage... Oh, gosh, she may be right!!!) Am I a frog or a chicken? Or both? Lord, this day just gets curiouser and curiouser.
Would that make me a frogen? Sounds like a horror film. Sounds like something that needs to keep a safe distance ahead of the french chef. Sounds like I need to get to work.

No your thinking of this all wrong. Do work for awhile and then reward yourself with something fun to do. Then work some more, reward. Back and forth. That way it all gets done but you don't feel like you have been deprived.
I work for an hour and then (before these darn boards) I use to play a game of Backgammon.
I did what you are doing about 6 years ago. We went from 2400 sq feet down to 1400. Got rid of many many things. Had lots of tears back then. Now I couldnt even begin to list all the stuff we got rid of .
Have fun and remember THis too shall pass.

Wow. what I wouldnt give to be there helping you go through all that stuff. Well since I don't know how much room you have and your taste in decorating I will just throw out some stuff. You can artfully put the seed packets into a shadow box or a frame and hang them in the kitchen . Are their seeds in them. You could try planting them. and Then take photos and add them to the frame.
I am salivating over the red velvet covered photo album. I do our families genealogy and have for over 30 years now. I have begged, borrowed but not stolen any photos from any family members that I could find.
What I have done with all of my old family photos is to scan them in at high resolution so that in future you can make copies from them. You can also brighten them up and return them to original value. Many of my old ones had turned that old age yellow. We have a good software editing program and we were able to return most of them to original And also you are preserving them for the future. I have also scanned in all the documents that I have found in my research. Just recently we put them all onto CD's and sent them to family members so that they could have copies of all the old photos and documents too. For my dad's side of the family we had 5 CD's. Thats alot of photos.
As far as the actual album. Keep it in a safe, dry DARK place that is free from moisture. Light will fade the photos.
Well thats all the ideas I have at the moment.

Well, Lady froggies, I am done (and done in) for the day. Not bad, actually. The bathroom is sparkling. I have 2 bags to go to the charity shop and some toys to donate to the church nursery. I didn't count the bags of trash. I did some general picking up, but concentrated on the bathroom.
I have some old(!!!!) beaded purses that belonged to my great grandmother. They are very fragile. One, I have put into a shadow box and want hung in my bedroom. The other, I think, would need to be stabilized somehow before anything could be done with it. There are many treasures amongst the trash. It really gets me thinking - since I do have such treasures why do I end up with so much trash?
Yes, Murielle, I think we are meant to be doing this right now. I am tired as heck but feel I got in a good day's work. It just feels right.
What's everyone else been up to today?
