After reading the book "Night" what we have been through is nothing, nothing compared what Wiesel has been through. While i read each and every single word of that book i felt anxious to keep on going on, but at the same time i felt internal sadness to see all what he has seen. That night he will never forget neither em i that night when this book opened my eyes to the cruel world i live in. This book made me see that the world is in just one color, but it varies only that the most often seen by a student to see is everything white and how this book made me see that not everything is white. Now reading this book made me see that not everything is white and that mostly everything is black more than half of this world.
"Night" also thought me a lesson in peace and how peace is important, he explains how we shouldn't treat others differently beacuse of religion, on male or female terms, or on choices we make. Like Elie Wiesel's philosophy "lo taamod aL dam reakha" Which means thou shall not stand idly by...
I first read "Night" in my early 20's, since then I have gone back to read and reread it, again and again. Each time it is new, I think because it is impossible to comprehend the evil that can exist in mankind. What I have come to focus on is the strength of spirit that survived in these camps, the will to live, that to me is a true miracle. So many times we have heard since the Holocaust, "Where was God?" I believe He was in each of the victims, those that went to Him and those that survived. With much love and blessing, my heart goes out to all the victims of the Holocaust, each and everyone is truly remarkable.
