As I said he will have to have it aired over and over again, it is people like you who will have to tolerate these questions and GET OVER IT. Thats life and thats what what rational people expect from solid leadership. I do not want a drug user as a President. Been there done that his name was George Bush. Sorry. Let's Move On. Obama is not a good candidate. Has he even stopped smoking???? Last time I checked he was still having problems. Does he use a lot of sugar???? Another classic sign of drug abuse. Any pressure can send him. Does he drink? Again all valid questions. He had better be prepared to answer these questions repeatedly and publicly and openly. And guess what, his girl friends, his children, his wife, every thing is open game. So you get over it.... Thats how it works and this is a take no prisoners world of politics. The democrats just are being polite but as I said the Republicans don't care... You can't shout them down...Hillary has been through it and then some...

I am very sad that someone would give Oprah grief about chosing a black man over a white woman for president. Insensitive at the least. As long as she doesn't openly campaign on her show I see nothing wrong with her public endorsement. More power to her. Myself, I will vote for whoever the Democratic candidate ends up being. I accepted Jesus into my heart and life in 1991 and went through a period after being influenced by Christian radio to cast aside my 'Democractic' upbringing and voted Republican for Bush 2 the first time around because it kept being said that if you were Christian you had to vote Republican because of the abortion issue. You could now say that I am remaining a Democrat opposed to abortion - I think there has to be a better solution. But, I think that Christians should consider that the Republican party really is all about 'business' - why do you thjink the mortgage crisis has happened - the banks got greedy to take on any kind of mortgage risk. Even Allan Greenspan says that the Iraq war was about controlling the 'oil' - I really doubt he is making it up. God bless you Oprah!

For those of you lambasting Oprah for coming out to demonstrate her support for Barack Obama and making her out as some traitor to the cause of women, I want to engage you head on! I can also assure you that if you believe Opera will lose membership, again I wish to engage that. Perhaps its a sin for a man to be a member of this site but I and others like me are joining this site, because we see a strong woman, not afraid of her sex and having an opinion, but she is not shallow enough to think that because somebody is a woman, she has to support her come what may!. I am joining this site because I believe this woman is courageous and not shallow!

The argument that for the first time there is a chance for a woman POTUS being derailed by Oprah's endorsement of another and that she endorsed Obama simply because he is black is perhaps the most shallow, unintelligent argument anyone could put together. By the same reckoning Bill Clinton must be racist because he supports Hillary because she is white! I hear those of you who will make that simple exasperated comment “because she is his wife", that you make precisely my point.

Hillary wanting to be the first woman POTUS not because she is the most suitable woman to attain that august office or title except for the fact that she is married to a strong man and a Clinton. I thought this was what feminist were supposed to be against! Bill is now stepping into the breach of her campaign which is imploding before our very eyes. If Hillary cannot run a presidential caucus and primary campaign which is bequeathed with the support of the strongest political machinery on Gods Earth, how in heavens name will she manage a nation?

Here is a family whose political existence has been on the back of enormous support from the black community and now smearing a black man running for that office about drug abuse and drug pushing and all manner of innuendo, stereotype and dirty tricks primed to invoke the issue of racial disharmony. Is it Oprah who is being a racist or the Clintons? I am amazed that the woman married to Bill Clinton is now casting aspersions on Barack not being vetted and what lurked in his past. If Bill Clinton was qualified to be POTUS, then barrack Obama must sail through that vetting, assuming that ‘Slick Willy’ must have passed vetting himself!

No single woman on God’s Earth has damaged more innocent women, denigrated women and offended their sense of natural justice than Hillary Clinton. I am amazed that one of the subjects on discussion here is about spousal abuse and how this unique community helps women escape that appalling habit by abominable beings not qualified to be called men. When Bill was harassing and abusing women of all persuasions, shapes and sizes, from Jennifer Flowers to poor Monica Lewinsky, who was at the forefront of defending that monster and destroying the reputation and good name of women whose only mistake was to have fallen prey to the most powerful predator of them all? Her name was Hillary Rodham Clinton. A braver woman would have walked away. She stayed because she realized that without Bill, she is nothing! That is opportunist, conniving but most of all WEAK!

CNN will be well advised to keep their dirty trough and hands off Oprah!

The truth is that people who rise to great heights for humankind only fall if someone TRIPS them...I pray that Oprah is protected by many angels. And I believe that angels don't see gender as an issue anymore.

Ricardo, Your comment about Oprah and Obama and why or why not she is supporting him is so fair and not judgemental. You do not pretend to see inside her heart for her reasons. You take her at face value ie what she says. that is the best that we all can do.

Then you turn around and lambast Hillary Clinton. Accusing her of denigrating women and her motives for seeking the Presidency! How can you? As far as denigrating women, wow, that is a strong statement. I am a women and I have no such feeling. As a matter of fact, I feel proud and strength is validated in me. A woman to be our president! Can you imagine. And you or I or no one can see inside her heart! She like Oprah a "strong woman and not afraid of her sex". As is Oprah, as far as I see, both of them have made strong and courageous choices. I stand for Oprah, I stand for Hillory and all women who move out unafraid. Who move past whatever abuse that has been visited on them. Who are grateful for their ability to find compassion in their souls and forgiveness. And in that have set a compass for others, women and men to use as guidence.

I stand! That does not mean I will not vote for a man. Someone like you, as a man who was not afraid to post. You just kind of backtracked a little. We are after all only human!

Oh by the way, I find women who are over the age of 40 know what it was like when their mothers and they were not given equal rights, called baby, and treated and are still treated like second class citizens. Look at how many men are in Congress and the Senate. You want to see something radical. Elect the first woman President. We had to have an Amendment, the 19th, giving us the right to vote as Women. That was a full half century after Mr. Obama had his rights. Yes Oprah has her rights too. But as I said I'm just questioning her very Public decision and she is in the PUBLIC eye so it is fair game for ME to do so. I question her judgment on her decisions about her private school and who she is selecting to run the school. She selected an ABUSER. Is she vetting Obama the way she vetted these people??

She went public, She is open to PUBLIC debate as well and her advertisers and everyone that touches her. Her very public endorsement of Obama is up to the same scrutiny. He has made highly irresponsible statements. He advocates a shoot first ask questions later posture with Pakistan. Thats dangerous. He will talk with despots. Any leader knows (those with common sense) YOU DO NOT CODDLE TYRANTS. Clinton kept Hussein under control with fly overs and this was working. Bush was a shoot first ask questions later guy and he did what he did because he COULD. Obama has the same attitude. He said he didn't vote for the war. He didn't because he was NEW, YOUNG AND INEXPERIENCED. Not because he had any greater or better wisdom or insight. He's repeatedly proven this over and over with his own mouth.

Obama advocates Nuclear Engergy and he doesn't know what he is talking about. Some of us fought long and hard to eliminate nuclear waste dumping and end nuclear facilities in our area's because of the lack of safe dumping. First do the reasearch then open your mouth. He's neither. He is no different than George Bush in my mind at this point. It is highly frustrating and the only train people are getting on is this happy pill train so I wonder what drugs everyone is taking when they go to see him. Its serious now. We'll see if Al Gore endorses then we will know. Were he to run the question would be over.
