Eckhart Teaching Chapter 10 with no interview
Apr 29, 2008 3:23 PM
Hi Oprah,
Thank-you for hosting "A New Earth" and Eckhart Tolle. Your own lifelong-built capacity for access to the world, has given the world access to the most valuable teaching, for the very sake of the world's inhabitants. I mean this literally!
This quality mutual access is a gracious benefit that I hope impacts the world of human beings for the better, from now on.
Waking up to the now is how I live my life everyday as an imperfect human being. Every time I fall into unconsciousness, fear or some pattern of ego-centered ignorance that may rule my attentions for a time, I always find some way to reach out, in order to find the support that I need to wake up again more fully. Support that feeds my attention on awareness to the point of no longer needing training wheels!
One day very soon, I will be “standing on my own two conscious feet” on a bigger stage of human endeavor and participation.
My inquiry concerns the last "A New Earth" webinar on Chapter 10.
What would it be like if Eckhart taught from that chapter with no interview?
It seems a wonderful way to end this series, so that people can generally experience Eckhart himself teaching his message about waking up.
Very simply and directly, would you be willing to be a gracious backseat participant for this one show?
Thank-you for your consideration.
Most Sincerely,
Kerrie

Hello Lartiste
and you are the eleventh Thread started with same or similar request/suggestion
...I second your call..and add that since the last program is 2 hours long ...wouldn't it be WONDERFUL !!!!
But since these requested for more ET and less talk are not happening ..my I suggest that you petition your local PBS (Public Broadcasting station) and strongly suggest they pick up ET.?
ET with say a Bill Moyer ...would have 10 times the coverage as the current ANE program...and Bill doesn't need to name drop either

I agree! I had a moment when Eckhart spoke of how Oprah defined things for Sue and her husband during the Chapter 9 class. I felt that energy she had when she spoke with such enthusiasm! I started to cry when he complemented her on putting the message out in the way that she did. It is the essence of the book. It was Oprah being present! And, my energy as I am sure many others in the universe, joined her in her powerful message.

lartiste,
you worded that beautifully! My sentiments exactly.
Oprah, I love you and thank you! I value your wisdom and stories, but please give Eckhart more space to speak. Thank you!
I wish these classes could go on and on and on.

Although it would be nice to here Eckhart speak solo, this is Oprah's class with Eckhart Tolle. There may be more oportunity to hear Eckhart speak. I saw Eckhart speak in Vancouver Nov. 2007, it was awesome. I didn't think he was going to do talks anymore, but he did. He may do more.

Oprah just adds so much warmth and humor that I love the two together! It seems like she was giving out so much wisdom but then there was that name dropping thing we all noticed. I look at it as a regression to the ego that tried to rear it's ugly head. Maybe she got fearful on some level that by totally embracing a NE it will change her life and business too much. To keep a show and network going she will have to be on the the next hot author. I think this teach could be studied deeply for the rest of one's life. With so many new teachers coming at her - I wonder if she will just be tossed to and fro and A New Earth will be forgotten in all it's silence subtlety.

Oprah is a real character, she is fun to watch. Eckhart is always Eckhart, I never know what Oprah will be like, sometimes I think she is rushing through it, then she seems to be bored, then she seems to be excited, then she thinks she knows it but then she is...? I can't believe the two of them have managed to do this, it has been very uplifting and helpful.
I will miss it.

Oprah is presenting ET so seeing that dynamic is important. It is important to see her growth and then we can see that it is possible. If he only presented, one might think, oh he is special and I could never do that. Oprah is growing (see webcast #9, some of her on-point answers were inspiring (except the name dropping of Tom Cruise could have been left out and just described the mountain experience would have been good. ) weekely and we can grow to.
If you really want to see ET alone he has a on demand video and audio which you can get to from his website ($19.95). It is part of the Power of Now 4 part teaching series.
Also, if you want to see parts of it, some of it is downloaded on U-tube (free).

It is so exciting to read all of the responses to my open letter to Oprah concerning Eckhart teaching more on his own for the last chapter of "A New Earth."
I have sat in with two different groups over the past weeks during the webinar, in the town to which I recently moved.
One group is small and filled with like-minded souls who all found the same location to experience this event together. The other is a larger, established group with some definite group history. I have found the experiences between the two fascinating!
It is my dream in life right now, to travel around the world actually, to just listen and watch different people, in different places doing and interacting and talking about what they see, hear, feel is important to them right where they are.
Along with reading the book and being part of the webinar each week, these combined opportunities to sit with different groups of people are making my life more rich everyday.
Thank-you ALL, for sharing your perspectives as you have freely weighed in on my inquiry!

Oprah talked tooooomuch. Most certainly in Chapter 9. We can hear her on tv on the radio, read her mags,, but a world wide broadcast of ECKHART TOLLE live is a sacred time. Many cant see/hear him live in his seminars and this is the only chance... Even if he doesnt teach alone, the whole forum has been discussing to PLEASE let Eckhart speak without intrerruptions. He does not need an interpretet. His english is lovely. .. Her interrupting him so aggresivly whilst he was speaking of Grace, about TOM CRUISES BIG HOUSE on MOUNT CRUISE was a shame. He never finished what he was teaching us.

I thought about your post a few times yesterday and this morning. I even started a response yesterday, which I canceled. I know you meant it in a loving, caring way, but my (ego's) feeling's are hurt for Oprah. I have never met her personally, not a regular watcher of her show, don't get her magazine, and never visited her web site before ANE, but I am so grateful for her awakening. I feel like asking her to not participate, is like being invited to someone's home for dinner, arriving to the table and seeing a bountiful spread of homemade food that obviously cost time, energy and money, and then asking your hostess to order you a pizza. It was only through the second read of the book did I really get it. "It" being that everything is as it should be.......that is hard for me since part of my pain body has serious control issues. She has something in her spirit that attrackes people to her. I don;t know if I would have heard about ANE if I hadn't seen her advertisement of it. Yes , they are Eckard's words, but think of how many more people are awakening because of Oprah's own enlightenment, and how she has shared it with the world. The World.
Thanks Kim
