Over 100 Osmonds Reunite on Our Stage!

Posted on Nov 2, 2007

For 50 years, America has been in love with this family. Now, the Osmond brothers, Donny and Marie, and over 100 Osmonds reunite on our stage. Be there when history is made! It's a performance you will not see anywhere else. And, in the wake of heartbreaking news…the Osmonds pay tribute to their father.

I enjoyed your show today, Oprah. Thank you for bringing such a "class act" to your stage and giving them the opportunity to see all their relatives at the sametime.

I only went to one of their concerts at what was called the CNE and took my mom. The other time was at Ontario Place when I took my son and daughter to a free concert put on by Donnie and Marie and another time when Donnie did a concert for a children's event in the summer time. I did see Donnie in Joseph in Toronto for my birthday a present from my husband.

I was happy to see Tom and Virgil as I had previously written about them when Oprah.com had the journals.

Entertainment is what you get each time you see the Osmonds perform.

Thanks again for such an entertaining show.":8}"

Dear Oprah, Thank you for having the Osmonds on your show today, it was a breath of fresh air. I have heard of the Osmonds but I wasn't real familiar with them, I'm 32 and I think I just missed the craze. Anyway, I didn't think America would go for a show with the squeaky, clean Osmonds so I was really impressed that you had them on and that they were so popular. I guess I've given up on the goodness that still is in America so it was nice to see that it still exists. Thank you for promoting something so wholesome and thank you to the Osmonds for being such a great example! Marsha Virginia

Wow! When I was 5 years old my parents bought the Phase 3 album for my brother and I. They let us play it loud in the basement and we'd dance around and sing into our fists. We followed them throughout our childhoods and then I grew up and married a wonderful woman who had loved the "Donny and Marie" show. We met Merrill and Wayne following a show at their Branson theater a few years. They did not disappoint us, two really nice guys. We don't always take time to watch Oprah but we like the show. Needless to say, today we loved it! Lots of tears. Thank you from the parents of three boys with another on the way (keeping fingers crossed for a little Marie).

That's what I thought, too, even though I'm not black and I don't collect dolls (I had one named Betty once when I was a little girl, MANY moons ago, a walking-and-talking doll which supposedly got sent to a doll hospital after one of my sibs broke her.... she never returned. Sigh. Luckily, I still love all my sibs. Who still walk and talk. Oy vey. LOL) ) I don't know much about the Osmonds, though I definitely recognize that clip from the Andy Williams show. (I miss his show, and Perry Como, and Dean Martin, and Carol Burnett's show) And I loved the music in the Broadway musical about Joseph and the coat of many colors, even though I never saw scenes from it. One of my favorite stories, Joseph and his splendid coat. Even though I know Marie was sincerely giving Oprah something from her heart with that doll, I expect there soon be other dolls similar to it that will be made available for purchase on Marie's site.... that is a LOVE doll, and is going to be the most popular doll in the country. Maybe even in the world. May everyone who sees it be beautifully blessed, and prosper. :-) Susan

Dear Oprah, I so very much loved your Osmond Show. It was one of the most emotional shows that you have shown. What a great family and a family with values galore. I could not keep from smiling through out the entire show, thanks for making my day

I waited for this show all day. Not only have I been a long time fan of the Osmonds. I didn't burn my records and continue to collect and preserve them. I value the important role the Osmond family played in my childhood and teen years. I own two of Marie's dolls from Disney land signed by Marie and have a picture of us together in my livingroom, but the real reason I wanted to join this particular show is that I recently lost my mother to Cancer. Mom died on Sept. 21st. She had breast cancer that spread to her bone and colon cancer that spread to her liver. She would have been 87 in December. I lost my father when I was 18 to heart disease. I totally identify with Marie saying she is an orphan now and needs a sister. I know how that feels. I also share the faith of the Osmonds that I will see my parents again someday and this seperation, though sad, is only temporary. When mom died I sang their song "May Tomorrow be a Perfect Day" over and over with all the verses and wrote the words in her funeral memory book. My mom got to hold her new great-grandson two weeks before she died and the day before she died she told my brother and myself that she loved us. I collect dolls and my hobby is Genealogy. I will be 50 in March. I have been married 31 years, have 2 kids and 4 grandkids. Joy Eastes Pero

Love the show, not enough Osmonds and too many commercials. It just left me wanting more! Can't wait for the PBS special.

Thanks Shilo,

Where did you find this information? I loved the doll too. It didn't just resemble Oprah, it was her as a child. What a shame it's not for sale. On the other hand, what a great gift to Oprah! A one of a kind.

I was very lucky today! I got home from work early and was able to see the Osmonds on your show. Not only was the show today a testament to the their parents but also to all the family. Oprah...you helped Dr. Phil, Rachael Ray get on tv...can you help bring back the Osmonds?

Thank You Oprah. I enjoyed your show today more than any other ever!! I wanted to marry Donny Osmond. I was seriously in love with him. I fantasized for years until I heard he got married. When I was in the 4th grade (1975) I actually had a looseleaf binder with Donny on the cover. I LOVED that binder, and wish I still had it. Along with all the posters that covered my bedroom wall, and the teen magazines.
Your show today was an inspiration, to me and my family. If they can make it work, in a crazy world like this, and still smile, and have a closeness that was apparent even through the TV, it gives me hope for my family. We could all strive to do better! And Marie, I pray that she can find peace in her life and find happiness, whether with a man or not. TV needs more people like these.
Thank You again Oprah for aspiring to higher things.

Yes indeed that was a "Cool" show and a cool idea to bring together such a family to show all that "Family" indeed exists!! My daughter said they kinda remind her of the Jackson Family. What about doing a reunion show about them too!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. I could not leave the tv (even to go potty) today. I cannot describe how I feel while watching today's show about the Osmonds.

There was so much I had forgotten....that I am ashamed of myself. Seeing all of them together, especially with the recent passing of the father, Mr. George Osmond. I feel like I did when I was 16 and was so "in love" with Donnie and Jimmy. Only you could put together such an inspiring, awesome outstanding show.

God has smiled directly upon you, you dear sweet soul. May you always remain blessed and genuine. Peace to you.

I will be light on my feet all
