I can't believe that people think that any budget includes $400 to $800 outfits.
Maybe people wear clothes that are old because they can't afford a new wardrob every couple years.
Everything that was shown today will not be timeless next year. It will be "so last year"
And on top of that did you see anyone over size 6. I always thought that Oprah would remember where she came from, I bet nobody in her family wore runway clothes when she was a kid. And as a mom i don't see anything wrong with wearing tennis shoes to the grocery store. If I wore the things those people were wearing, the whole town would think I was some kind of stuck up snob want-to-be.

Oprah, you know we love you girl, but c'mon here!! Today's show was all about how to look great at any age IF your a size 12 or smaller..(and I'm being generous there, really these women were smaller than that!) I just turned 34 and I'm not proud of my body type but I'm not ashamed of who I am either, and I still need some fashion advice for my size too . Let's face it, if a gal is wearing a potatoe sack , but she happenes to be a size 7, it's so easy to help her find what looks good on her for her size!! I challenge Stacey London to help the REAL WOMEN sizes 16 and up!! So please do a show that has the larger girls dressin to impress!!! Also I own my own business that isn't exactly an office job, infact I run a 24/7 roadside assistance business where my husband and I drive around and change flat tires(he does that), deliver fuel, preform battery jump starts and vehicle lockouts, I never get the chance to look nice, how can I dress cute in a functionable outfit that doesn't make me look like a guy? Or am I just SOL?? hmmmm? Stacey???

I loved Tina's outfit. I was so excited I went shopping online but can't find it anywhere online. I, too, would like to know if there is a way to know exactly where it came from and how to get it!!

SHOES! I have exceptionally tiny feet (4 1/2 - 5) for my height 5'5". Bad ankles and metatarsals = no high heels. How do I accessorize w/o wearing such high heels? I can't walk in that! I want to look fashionable - anybody help??

I was also very disappointed in the show. I am a single mom with 4 kids and I do the best I can to look fashionable, but most of my clothing comes from hand-me-downs from friends, goodwill or sale racks. These people on the show were just out of touch with where most americans are and what they can afford to pay for clothing. Even at the end of the show when they had the "affordable" options they were way to expensive for me or any of the single moms that I know. This just goes to show you how out of touch the fashion industry is with every day people.

AMEN!
I'm 5'3" and about a size 6. Not 5'11" size 2. Also, I definately can't afford $3000. for an outfit. So where do I fit in? That cape would look like a tent on me. Imagine this...a head, a tent, and some feet. Not so cute huh? And at 42, the 40 year old women's clothes looked older than the 50 and 60's. I love and respect Oprah and her guests but now I feel shorter and fatter than ever.

Hello, This is actually to Oprah, via your comment. "You're Good, you would have to have thick skin to listen to the rants that come over the message board." Keep -up the GOOD WORK.

I can not believe how RUDE Charla Krup was today to the 50 something woman. She is so typical of the fashion elite who think that everyone else in the world are idiots. I hope that Oprah NEVER has her on her show again because there is no need to be mean to anyone, especially over fashion differences, and that is what it all boils down to. So what Charla thinks that an outifit isn't right for someone, that is her opinion. I think that she needs to let go of the long flowing blonde hair and accept that she is no longer in her 30's and should embrace a hairstyle that is more appropriate for her age. I could have said that in several different "Charla" ways, but it is not necessary. She can take my advice or leave it, the point is that I don't have to belittle her or make her feel stupid. That is what Charla did to that woman today and it was completely unnecessary.

As soon as I saw this show advertised, my first thought was that there would be a lot of whining about the show here on the messageboard. I was right! I LOVED the show. Ladies, just because you may not be able to afford the outfits featured on the show doesn't mean you can't have the same type of outfit. I thought the last "classic" outfit of jeans, red shirt and jacket was awesome and you can find it for even less than the price of $300 (I think that was the price). Kohls, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Steinmart, etc. People are complaining that there were no outfits for moms...jeans and a cute shirt and jacket ladies. The adorable workout outfit that the one woman wore.....I see those all the time on moms. Also, do not hesitate to go to Nordstroms, Marshall Fields, Anne Klein, Ralph Lauren stores......wait till they have their sales and you can get great clothing. This clothing will also last longer than the stuff you buy at Kohls, Mervyns and Wal Mart. You get what you pay for....so in the long run it's better to pay a bit more and get better quality clothing that lasts.

After scanning everyone elses "opinions" seems like Oprah needs to "GET REAL" and get out of the clouds if she wants to "help" us women look and feel better.

I am with you the show was great and I loved some of the advice. I have always known how to dress and where to buy the clothes I can afford. I am neither rich or body beautiful but I am confident and feel there is a lack of confidence on this thread. Very negative these boards are and I am grateful for being balanced when it comes to my feelings and emotions.
