I recorded it and wrote it down

Dr. Oz's green drink
1 cup of Spinach
1 large Apple
½ inch of Ginger
1 Cucumber
4 stalks of Celery
1 Lemon
1 Lime

he mentioned parsley but not in the recipe. I am assuming its the juice of the lemon & lime.

do we squeeze the lemon & lime or add the whole thing to the blender?

Thanks,

We need a little more instruction on this "GREEN DRINK". We have the ingredients, but it is more then just putting them in a blender. I think you need to have a juice extractor for the veggies to get it to come out right otherwise you have chunks and the one I made did not look like the one on the show.
Any thoughts anyone?

Yes you need a juicer not a blender. And you have to peel the lemon and the lime because the oils in the peel are bitter.

You don't need a juicer. I have a high speed blender that I make smoothies in. I put whole carrots and apples in and it comes out like a milkshake. The thickness varies on the amount of juice added. The thickness also varies with the size of the fruit you add. I haven't tried to make this one yet. In fact that is why I found this post. I was looking for the recipe.

The green drink looks refreshing. I'm going to try it tomorrow using a high speed blender. I finally found a good juice machine to purchase. I like the thickness, so a blender is fine by me, for now.

You don't have to have a juicer. I tried the green drink for the first time a little bit ago and used a high speed blender. I was worried it might have celery strings in it, but it came out like a milkshake. Mine was still bitter, though, so it needs some adjusting. I did peel the lemon and lime, and I also peeled and cored the apple.

You don't need a juicer. My KitchenAid high speed blender worked just fine. I used the "liquify" button. The drink is actually quite good!! I was pleased and will try to have this for breakfast at least 3x/week. The drink along with my egg whites for protein should be a nice jump start to the daily grind.

Please tell us how you made the drink. Did you chop the celery first, peel the lemon, core the apple? Did your blender blend the spinach well and everything else?

I am drinking the green drink for the first time as I am writing to you. I used :1 handful spinach leaves, 2 stalks celery, 1/2 cucumber, 1/2 inch fresh ginger, juice from one lemon and one lime, a few little pieces of parsley, and an apple. I had to use my mini processor first because my blender is not working great. Then I blended everything. The last thing I added was one sweet and low:p. It made it sweeter and more palatable for me. Not Bad At All. Enjoy!!

Dr Oz, how often should I drink the Green Drink and the Cod Liver Oil with lemon drink?

Also, I am 59 years old and have terrible hot flashes that keep me from getting a full nights sleep. I was HR from 1995 to 2005. My doctor told me that getting off the HR would make my hot flashes 10 times as worse and just to live with them. Is there anything that I can do to reduce the hot flashes?

I want to say thank you for educating the American public on how we can take better care of ourselves. For empowering us with easy tools to change our lives.

Sincerely,

Teagirl194

Wanted to reply to request regarding Hot Flashes....I am 55 and have not had a period for a about 4 years. I suffered hot flashes for 3 years but, in spite of everyone's suggestions, did not subsribe to Hormone Replacement. I rarely have flashes now...with the exception of the loss of elasticity my skin is experiencing, I feel great.
