Great .. thanks for the review canukle
The Spammers saw need to bring their negativity here because they are dealing with some serious psychological issues around the Seinfeld's...so I would definetly ignore whatever they have to say, it holds no weight.
This is the first review posted of the movie, so thanks for that. I know quite a few families that I will recommend to go see it.
Didn't see Bee movie, but will rent it or watch it on ppv. Not a big fan of kids in theaters (at least for a few more years!!). I did however, see American Gangster. Now that's an INSTANT CLASSIC. You want to have celebs on, put that cast on your show Oprah. It rocked!!!
Not only is Oprah providing a voice to the movie...but I just checked and Renee Zellweger, Matthew Broderick, Kathy Bates, Sting, Larry King, John Goodman .. among others are also contributing their voices.
A really good professional line up and fun for the kids.
But it still doesn't top Danzel ....
I'm sure that if your neighbor had made sure the kids were well rested .. they would have had a better time enjoying the movie. It does not mean that the children themselves were bored.
The irony in the message, adults are sure to get. Kids, naturally, are more attracted to the cartoon factor.
On a positive note thou
... it would appear that the public also agrees with you. Was scanning the news this evening and the lastest numbers show
1. "American Gangster," $46.3 million.
2. "Bee Movie," $39.1 million.
So granted there may have been a slow start ... but it's not a bad beginning going into the hoilday season.
Wow, I'm really surprised to hear that anyone thought Bee Movie was boring! All the kids that were sitting near us in the theater really seemed to enjoy it. My son is 4 and doesn't have a great attention span, especially for movies, but this one grabbed his attention and kept him entertained for the whole hour and a half (or thereabouts). I'm sensing a future trip to the library to learn more about bees... Lots of celebrity voices in the movie, in addition to Oprah. I thought it was really well done, and when watching the movie, its obvious that a lot of hard work went into making the movie. Bravo to all who were involved.
Pay no attention to the Jerry Seinfeld bashers....they have an agenda.
I talked to my niece tonight, she LOVED the movie. I am a huge Sting fan and she took great delight in telling me about Sting having a part in the movie as himself.
Oh yeah, the part with Sting was so funny! The Ray Liotta bit was funny too. They did a great job animating Sting too! Looked just like him (only a bit cartoony, lol). I like it when animated movies have bits of pop culture that adults pick up on... makes them more enjoyable for the whole family.
