Anti-christ??

Posted on Feb 23, 2008 9:33 PM

I am by no way judging, I'm discerning and trying to think logically. I have Tolle's 1st book. In his introduction - he describes his spiritual awakening. Yes, we could call it a God experience, we all have had them. But with most God experiences, we can't help but give God the praise for the experience. The Bible speaks of Satan... He is a fallen cherub...He was the highest angel/cherub which existed. he wanted to be God...he wanted the praises of God - he is also referred to as coming as an "angel of light". When God speaks of himself, he told Moses his name was "I Am" and God says "I Am that I Am". God's name is "I Am". In the 1st book from Tolle, he refers to "I am" but not in a God sense, in a me sense. Names are important in the Bible. If we are to still ourselves and hear this "being' Tolle speaks of, who is this Being? If this 'being' was God would God not claim the praise? The 10 commandments says to have no other God's before me. Going to a place which there is a "being", would not God let the world know. There is evil out there, is this 'being' good or evil? Would evil look evil? Would we walk into a room full of polluted air which was foggy, but if we could not see the pollution we would certainly walk in. Careful what you are walking into. What god is this? Satan's strategies affect the mind. Mind altering state. Evil counterfeits Good. Be careful for none of us would walk up to a "being' with a pitch fork and horns. Satan's pride got the best of him when he fell from Heaven...HE WANTED TO BE GOD!!! We have all heard lately, the end times...look at our world...look at Revelations...Many will follow the anti-christ for not being able to discern the Truth. For satan, twist scripture. He used scripture with Jesus in the desert, twisting it. Revelation also refers to "saying something in one side of the world, but heard at the same time in another place in the world" Many will follow the anti-christ in thinking he is Christ....PLEASE read the scripture your self...discern but do not judge... And if I was Oprah...I would be extremely careful, and do my total research before I would open this can of worms, she is a powerful woman...with many followers. Maybe her faith is being tested.

The way I understand "Being" is that we are "Human Beings" in 2 forms, "Human" and "Being". "Human" is the flesh form, and "Being" is our spirit form or formless as Tolle refers to it. The spirit is our eternal self, that part that will live on after our body dies. So we each have in a sense 2 spirits, our "ego" which wants to be "god" over our body and our life, and our "spirit" which is our true nature and self from "God". The question is. . .which one is the ruler in your life? In most cases the ego has so much control that we don't even notice it and are to be considered "unconscious" of it. We have come to think our ego is ourself. But the quiet part of us, under our ego, is our true self, our spirit from God. And that is what ANE is helping us to get to. In simple ways. Just by recognizing when it is our ego talking we can begin to diminish it is what Tolle says. I believe it is what Jesus came to tell us and if we would only do what Jesus teaches us we would find our true self, the self God wants us to be. If you don't want to read ANE, just read your bible, especially the "red print" and do what it says to do and find your true self that way. That's what I've been doing. I've found it much easier to understand what Jesus says when I think of it as my ego that causes me to sin.

A big part of the problem is that no one believe in Satin anymore. I think being in the present is fine, and being in the present with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is most fine.

Satin is fine. I'm not so much about the polyester, though.

I do not believe that satin is better than cotton, actually. But that's just me.

Translation!
God said "I" am the great "I AM". My opinion is that, God is saying I am "That" I Am. We all can say we are -I am this and I am that- but he is saying I am "THAT" I am. Emphasizing "THAT" being the "Alpha the Omega"and all "That" entails. Tolle says I am ______? Enlightened, My Being is one with the universe, In control of my choice to be Aware. He is not saying I AM the Alpha and the Omega. He is not claiming to walk on water and cast out demons although some may argue that one -LOL!
He is just an Enlightened Being who has found a "Heaven" a place of peace and harmony. Not THE Heaven where the I AM dwells but his own Heaven it is very similar and to me that means one thing.......He is more ready to live in the real Heaven where the True I am is.He lives like we are supose to. He giggles at lifers untruths and sees the truth in places we would never think to look no matter what shape life gives it. He sees no blame no cause for argument he truly sees people for what they are. That is a wonderful gift he is trying to share. He is a teacher......if you choose to learn. If not he can take a shape of something else in your mind and you wont see past the image you see. Anti-Christ? No, I don't think so. A messenger though with a valuable message!

Oh, I agree. Be careful about blends! Wearing garments made from two different kinds of thread is forbidden. (Lev 19:19). The exact punishment is unclear but it either involves being stoned to death or being banished from your people. Not good.

Satin, I find emphasizes flaws-tummy bulges, pantie lines, etc and leaves noticeable perspiration marks under the arms. It's very limited. Cotton however is so versitile and does none of those things!

Cotton Rocks!

Dear dicern12

i too agree that we are all getting 'ahead' of this story here. I have just posted a main-heading topic today (8 april); that was My answer to Oprah.. Winfrey's question to all of us as to way she introduced Ane to the public the way she did. ( i answered to what i thought was being asked) Since you asked the same question at the end of your discussion here that she ask of herself during last nights webcast maybe taking a look at my personal response to it can 'help' you( read that as good intent and that i have no control of where it goes from here) with some of the questions you are asking here................ Just want to add that you have brought up at least one very important and fundamental truth of all of these discussions, that of LANGUAGE, which Oprah Winfrey very wisely(in my estimation) hinted at in the webcast on chapter 6. Language was what we were given as a tool for communication. LANGUAGE IS WORDS, and we must speak to those words of language and they are decipherable if we can understand them in their essence. That will take the cooperation of ' speaking in tongues' (if you will excuse) in the words using the evolution of all the KNOWLEDE that is avaliable to us NOW which includes metamathematics metapsychology history philosophy poetry and even includes the evolution of language itself. The learning (knowledge) of our lives(FORM) find its "EXPRESSION in WORDS"- that taken from the bible. WORDS take the form of our LIVING TESTAMENT to our lives in this temporal place. The essence of the words we chose must be able to be understood by ANY dialect, to any TRUTH or all 'will be lost in translation'..............iwillbegin

Here's a good one why can't we all simply talk? ...why is there some meaning behind everything? oh it makes for a better high...
Stop getting high off of language.

I find what you've written very thoughtful and good for consideration. However, I've spotted some hypocrisy. In this post you say that people must be willing to "completely research the other side"; and, then you say that no, you haven't read A New Earth. That doesn't seem like you have completely researched the other side for yourself. You read one of Tolle's books; then, judged against it. There are many of us seeking a spiritual path/connection to God outside of organized religion because we've had very harmful/negative experiences with organized religions. Yet, we have not turned away from God. The hypocrisy that troubles me the most is how sure Christians are that THEY have the answer for everyone else- is that not assuming 'God-like' qualities for themselves? Many Christians put themselves above others; and, to me, that is just a lot of fear and ego walking around. God gave me a brain and a heart; and I am capable of discerning for myself. I have had a near-death experience and have been in the tunnel of light; and I have had a personal healing from God. I had both of my experiences when I was not involved in organized religion; so, I KNOW I can have a personal connection with God without the dogma of a church. I have always held Jesus in my heart and followed his example in how I treat people; but, I do not read the Bible nor believe that I need to in order to feel connected to God.

Because we talk with words, using words as a way to express what we mean to say so we can come to some understanding ( reconciliation?)of what was said by ourselves and the person(s) we are talking with??????????? Thats way i talk only to myself sometimes and it drives me crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!! sometimes i can even answer myself.(BEWARE the danger in THAT!) ....................iwillbegin

Oh and you are right. You have found me out, in fact i look at language( concepts) as another entity of form. I collect and read dictionarys (you can call me crazy, but thats not all i read, sooooo...) Words and the meanings we allow them to take have started many wars, so they are important to the well being of my life. You NOW 'know' more about me then any other person on these boards. Are you high yet..................................................iwillbegin

tinynlost,
You are missing a big part of this. ET DOES NOT believe there is a Heaven. He says he hasn't even given after death a thought. I just had an AHA moment!!!!! (Of course, I would rather give the glory to the Holy Spirit). ET teaches us to live in the present and not think about the future. But, Jesus tells us to focus on the future (put our treasures in Heaven). Just one more way that ET contradicts Jesus.

And, if ET is talking about "I am" then he should do it that way. And someone that is supposed to be so brilliant and claims to know what the Bible says and means, knows better than to use "I AM" as himself. Now, just who elevated himself to be God's equal? Do you remember that story in the Bible?

And just who do you think he is a messenger from? He doesn't acknowledge Jesus as the Son of God. Jesus says that if you don't know Him then you don't know the Father and, therefore, you are a child of Satan. Read John. That's what He says.
