Are you feeling overweight, overtired or overstressed? Dr. Oz has a brand new two-week plan to help you stay young. What to eat and what to do now!
Dr. OZ, I am 55 years old and 3 months ago I lost my eye sight in the right eye. I was told I had a stroke and that it caused a main branch retinal occlusion now it has also effected the lower branch. I am to young for this and I hear blood lines have a lot to do with it. So with all the aches and pains from being 55 and this loss of my sight in my right eye has made me very depressed! I gained 20 lbs in 3 months. (which we know causes other health issues.) How do we turn the clock back to feel younger and stay happy? Sincerely, PJHeart
I had a total hysterectomy in 2000 at the age of 45 and have taken hormone medication since the day I woke up from the surgery. I have been using estrogen Gel, and testosterone cream topically for the past 3 years. I know there is controversy about taking estrogen and testosterone for women is fairly new.
I feel that I would rather take the hormones to feel and look younger than not, regardless of the controversy.
Dr. Oz, Do you believe that the hormones are essential for feeling my best now? Are the topical creams and gels better for me than oral medication? I would like your information on testosterone for women as well. (My hormone levels are tested every year). I found noticable differences after taking the testosterone - more clear thinking, less moody, more energy, and a slightly heightened libido. My dosage is very small.
You are the BEST!!! Dr. Oz!! Thank you so much for who you are!!! Jan, from Indiana
Dr Oz, I'm a 38 year old mother and wife. My life hasn't always been easy. I've suffered with depression and several other health issues as well. I'm now at a point in my life where I just want to be the best that I can be. I want to be healthy and happy. I am sick all the time. Since May i've had broncitis, the flu 3 times, two serious colds, it seems like there's always some virus that wipes me out. I'm taking alot of vitamins and doing everything i think i can. I'm very tired and worn out. My body is exhausted. My family is worried about me. My co-workers are worried about me. I'm worried about me. When I look in the mirror, this is not what I expected I would be or where I would be at my age with how my health is. I worry that these perscriptions are making my health worse. For the most part we eat really well. There obviouslly could be improvements. I've read through your other book, You on a Diet. In the past two years we've really changed how we eat. My biggest problem is how to stick to it without getting bored, and exercise. I recently had a stress fracture in my foot which is making it hard to exercise or walk. My husband and I had to stop taking Jive classes because of it.
I will be 40 in April 2009. I want to be at my goal by then. I want to feel amazing. I want to look amazing. I want to look health. When people see me I look so tired and worn out. From 1987 to 2002 my life was very stressful. I lived on adrenaline most of the time. It seems that once things settled down, my body took a huge sigh of relief and now I get sick all the time. It doesn't take much anymore to wear me down. I can't handle stress like I used to and the smallest upset causes me to overreact.
There's so much information out there as to what vitamins to take, how much to take, how to eat, what not to eat, and what to eat. I try to avoid any other information out there other than what you recommend in your books and on Oprah's show. I've seen how you've helped others. I want more than anything to be put on the right track.
My husband is 41 and has his own health issues. We are both overweight. The first 39 years of my life have been a struggle. I don't want the next 40 to be a struggle. I want to get get healthy, stay healthy, and be as amazing as I can be and enjoy life to it's fullest.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Hi Dr. Oz,
I'm looking for an answer to this problem I've been having for a few years. Head aches.
When I was in my mid to late 30's I I would excersie three to four times a week doing arobics, free weights and some cross training.
I looked good and felt good. Now I'm fifty-one and i haven't excersied in a long time because I get hobbible head aches that won't go away till after I go to sleep for the night.
I want to get back to excerising but I don't because of the ** head aches. My doctor didn't find anything.
Not sure if this has anything to do with it but, my mom passed away form a Colloid Cyst of the third ventricle in 1975 .My Uncle (mom's brother) also had this, he is alive.
Are you able to help?
Thank you,
Natalie

Dr. Oz I am 54 and disable. You say walk 1/4 of a mile in 6 minutes I can barely sit up. I have spine damage and lots of stress, I am learning allot about the Vagus nerve, am trying to get the VNS surgery to help with my depression little own I believe it would help with my intestinal problems.
The GI Dr. can't find why I stay bent double in pain in my bowels. I have quit smoking due to heart and high blood pressure. Do you know of anyone who can help me with this VNS as medicare won't pay for it. I am possibly going to have DBS next year if I can't get VNS surgery, the DBS is working similar to VNS except in the brain an the stimulator. I have tried all the medications for depression in 30 yrs and it hasn't help.
I am dx with borderline personality disorder, bi-polar, DID, anxiety, PTSD along with a few others. I am not on any anti depressants now because I have tried them all.
My local Hospital knows me as I use to go in there every month for suicide attempts. Talk about stress that is a joke my life is stress due to pain and a 30 yr old daughter who can't move out, she works 2 jobs and can't find an apt. Don't say put her out done that she went homeless I can't do that.
I survived being molested and mentally abused as a child, and disowned I won't do that to mine.

The really sad thing is, when I was watching this show I started crying, not because of my health but because I am so unhappy that the thought of having a long life-span is really depressing to me. My family, in general, does not have good longevity, but the thought of having to be on this earth too long, is very depressing to me. I must need to change something.
