Please don't turn Oprah into a forum for celebs to hawk their wares!

Cindy Crawford's cosmetic line... Her husband Randi's drink mix line... Ivanka Trump's jewelry line.....on and on and on.
I think Oprah's staffers could come up with more important topics...rather than giving already rich celebrities an opportunity to market their product lines. Where is the integrity?
Really, Oprah. I expect more from you and your show.

Thank you for reading my mind. We already know that her favorite celebs get to pitch their movies. And we see the SAME celebs every year.
This is not the home shopping network!! I get the feeling that when Oprah brags about her favorite celebs, then she OWES them something and cannot say NO. You are who you are because of you and you don't need to feel like you have to answer to Hollywood's rich and famous.
Its like you are pressured to put some of these people on! There are more deserving people out there, magazines are filled with celebs, why do they always hog the show too?

I agree. My delete key has been used a lot lately; I don't even watch those shows. I am really starting to lose interest in the show and, from the way I've noticed how some guest are treated, I think Oprah has lost interest also.

I must say that my interest in the Oprah show has waxed and waned over the years. At some point in the 80's or early 90's, I stopped watching altogether for years. Every time I turned on the show it was Oprah and her wadrobe, Oprah and her makeup, Oprah and her hair, Oprah and her career, Oprah and her celebrity friends, Oprah and her own friends. All about Oprah all the time.
Then at some point before the year 2000, she seemed to revamp the show and really focus on regular people and how she could help. Dr. Phil started making appearances, and the Angel Network appeared. I started tuning in again.
Within the last few years though, I have rarely tuned in, because when I have, guess what? It's all about Oprah, all the time, again. In addition, her self righteous preachiness is out of control. What is it with middle aged celebrities and preachiness? Whether it's Scientology, Kaballah, Christianity, or whatever, celebrity preaching seems to be at an all time high. For example, I tuned in to Oprah's thyroid show the other week, full of anticipation for her description of her disease and the commentary of a physician that only the likes of wealthy celebrities like Oprah can afford. Instead I was treated to more preaching, from both Oprah AND her so called physician. If Oprah thinks she has cured herself of thyroid disease by "putting away childish things" as she preached, and spending a month in Hawaii, she is woefully misinformed about the disease, and she misinformed her audience.
SNL actually did a very funny skit about Oprah and her celebrity friends, with Ashton Kutcher dressed up as Julia Roberts. They screeched and fawned over each other while ignoring the other guests, the regular people, that she had invited on the show. You can probably find it on You Tube, it was a dead on assessment.

Now its the MLM, Shaklee. I posted a great article, (not spam) about the company and it was deleted. Just because Oprah uses it doesn't make it great and wonderful. there are many green products in the health food stores and other places that are not MLM scams. yes the owner makes millions but the poor people who buy into it do not.
Oprah once said on one of her shows she does not promote products without getting something in return. This has sparked a nerve with me.

I appreciate Oprah doing what she needs to do to run her show and website, and after all Celebs really are interesting, but not thier products.

I speak for millions on this planet when I disagree that " celebritys are entertaining". Many if not most are pretentious, shallow, materielistic boors.
