Painting the line between the Ceiling and the wall

Ok I know I should have painted the ceiling before I painted the walls but when we first moved into the house I just wanted to get some color on the walls. It's been three years and we are now putting in new flooring so after finishing the guest bedroom (I painted the ceiling) I realized I need to paint the ceiling every where in the house. My question is what would be the best way to paint the ceiling without having to repaint the walls. I have found that cutting-in slowly by hand looks the best but I'd like to do a better faster job. Any body have any helpful hints?

How about the blue painters tape along the top of the wall ? That is what we have used.

There is a tool used in wall papering which has a handle and a long thin blade (while thin - it is not sharp). I often will use this while painting rather than taping off to get a nice clean edge. It should speed you job up quite a bit!!

If you're going to cut-in free-hand be sure to use a good, wide brush. The wider (2-3 inches) brushes will eliminate more uneveness.

There is a new product on the market called Frog Tape. I used it when I painted my bedroom walls and ceiling. It has a chemical in it that actually ABSORBS the paint so there is no leaking. It works better than the blue tape or masking tape. Check it out online and see where you can purchase it.
