Hi Suze,
I recently purchased the FICO score cd and I installed it, but the only problem I had was that I had fraud problems 6 years ago and I had put up red flags on my credit, the cd stopped and told me I could not go any further and to contact my credit Company's.
In order for me to get my FICO score I have to write to all 3 creditors and ask them to remove this, a real pain in the butt!!! I wish you would have explained this before I had purchased the cd, I am still in the process of writting them, could you give me any advice?
Oprah, I love you, but what the heck are you doing having Suze Orman on your show? I'd expect her on Dr. Phil, or worse. She seems to want to be more of a preacher than financial help. How irritating.
Hello Susan,
When my husband retired he rolled all his companies 401K and savings into mutual funds putting it into 6 various funds. This was back in 1995.
We made good the first couple of years and then the bottom fell and we lost a lot.
He then moved the money into a safer fund hoping things would improve, but they haven't.
My husband now has dementia which I have power of attorney, and I'm very worried with the way things are going, we are going to be out of money in a couple of years.
I'm in the process of working with an elder attorney and also going to look for a financial advisor who can possible show me how to make some money with what funds we have. We are also drawing from this money as part of our month income along with our social security.
What would be your advise for someone like us who is needing help with our funds and where to go to make sure we don't run out of our monies?
i agree that suzie orman preaches, i don't want to hear anyone who makes me feel like my whole life has been a failure if i don't have lots of money to retire on, if you ask me she has so much money now she won't every have any problems, so i don't think she is the one to give me advice.

How does she make you feel like that? She's sitting in a studio, not anywhere near you.......why do you give her, or anyone, so much power over your feelings? Maybe she's just saying something that hits a nerve in your life.
May you be blessed with abundance and joy.
And fuschia is such a fantastic color!!!!!!!!!!!!!! May it fill your life.
Hi Suze,
I have a money problem that I desperately need an answer to. I am a registered nurse. My husband does not work. When I get paid, he has been taking my entire paycheck, paying the bills (mostly--he decides what gets paid and leaves balances due and I disagree with this) then puts the remainder of my paycheck into his pocket and controls it. This makes me extremely angry and that is one of the reasons that I'm about to end this marriage. I have to ask him for my money! He doesn't believe we should have separate accounts with our pay deposited into our own account, I do. I believe bills should be paid on time and in full if at all possible, he pays bills late most of the time and if he can get away with it, he pays only part of the bill. We are $1100 behind on our rent which is $800/mo. This method has destroyed my credit rating and his. Mine was golden before I met him. Please give me some advice.
Thank you
There are companies out there who say they can help you get out of debt, They do not loan you money, they eliminate debt, you send them a monthly payment and they pay off your debt. Do they really help We have gotten ourselves into debt and are trying to get things paid off but are not getting ahead, I am going to be out of work soon to have back surgery and want to have things paid off before this happens. Thank you
Be VERY careful before signing up with one of those "non-profits" that claims to eliminate debt at zero cost to you. Alot of them are scams, and require you to pay forward a certain sum before they work on reducing your APRs. I would take the time to review a few different companies and don't get pressured into signing up with one over the phone instantly. I was thinking about using one of those companies a few yrs ago, but my financial advisor recommended I not do it. I am finally debt-free (besides my student loan), but it was NOT overnight. Also, ask if using that company's services will adversely affect your credit score.
Good luck to you, I know it's very stressful to worry about finances when you are going thru medical issues.

{size:3}I
appreciate what you do in teaching adults about money matters. Just
wondering if you have plans to create a book or system for children
someday. My brothers and I were removed from my Mother's
custody as children, and attended a Christian boarding school where
we were loved and nurtured, but not taught some much needed life
skills such as how to handle money.
If you do create such a
book or system, I would like to recommend it to the school to,
hopefully, help prevent future students from having to learn finance
lessons the hard way like I did. I graduated at 17 and was
immediately on my own to make decisions on things I knew nothing
about. I had hopes and dreams that were never realized, and am
still struggling at 47, because of disastrous mistakes I've made
along the way.
Looking forward to your reply!{size}
I don't mind Suze as much as my husband, but sometimes she is going along fine and just jumps off the deep end. I remember a few years ago when I worked for the largest mutual fund company in the world and the moment Suze was off your show crazy people, mostly women started franticly calling and exchanging money based on watching a few minutes of Suze Orman. How ridiculous. The worst advice Suze gave today is to trust yourself first. Unforunately that is why most of these women are in financial crisis, they thought they could make educated money decisions without any financial education. I also have a personal stake on this because my husband is an extremely ethical CFP and does tremendous work for couples every day...mostly saving them from three piece suits. What she should have told your viewers is how to find a qualified CFP, not to do it themselves. Everyone thinks they can make money the easy way, without understanding the years a qualified financial planner dedicates to researching. I can't stand that she led your viewers to believe they would know as much as a CFP. That would be like me watching ER or Discovery, reading a few medical journals and operating on myself. How ridiculous!!!
HI SUZIE, I AM 58, SINGLE AND ALONE. I NEVER WORRIED ABOUT RETIREMENT, YOU NEVER THINK THAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN YOUNG OR YOU THINK YOUR HUSBAND WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU, NOT. I HAVE NO CREDIT CARD DEBT, I HAVE $17000 LEFT ON MY MORGAGE, MY CAR IS A 2003 AND PAID OFF. I HAVE AN OLD HOUSE THAT IS NEED OF REPAIR, NO MONEY TO DO THAT AND HAVE GOTTEN RIPPED OFF BY GUYS, BECAUSE WHAT DOES A WOMAN KNOW SO IT IS HARD TO FIND REPAIR MAN. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT HOME EQUITY LOANS AND I MAKE AROUND 28,000 A YEAR. ANY ADVISE.
This show is strictly for people who HAVE money. I took a 1000.00 mo paycut. We live beyond paycheck to paycheck. We can not but new clothes, good healthy food....or save money.
This show WILL make my stomach curdle.
