If I may, however, it is nothing more than my opinion which might count only to me, yes?
Humanity is present and perhaps only observing, as often one might rather keep a distance and allow the minorities (the ones that are not really present, but bulling others) to entertain the observer with their wisdom...if you catch my drift!!!
This seems to be a great thread to express it, isn't it?
The "..." remains!
Hi Ya! My maiden name and the name I chose to keep is Murphy also, and my first name is Cate. Dad's name is James, one of a million I'm sure! I have no idea how long we have been here, would be fun to know. One small world! HappyCrone
Yes....you do need a clue. Here's one...it's not anything like the god trap or any former organized religion. It's the opposite of a trap. Honestly, I know more atheist who are closer to consciousness that many Christians. This is not just spiritual...it's psychological and scentific. It doesn't just involve your mind, it's your cells and molecules. Read "The Divine Matrix" by Gregg Braden. (He's a scientist.) He tells you how the world and consciousness operates. It all sounds easy until you try it...and you think...why can't I do this. Well, you can't do it because you're not running the show, your ego is. That's where you need Eckhart Tolle. I would also recommend that you read "The Power of Now".
Hi Deshee,
How do you know whether a post if from America or not. I'm from America, and wish my country would stop stomping on the rest of the world and using most of the resources. The Awakeing in planetary. It is in Europe that millions upon million have taken to the streets asking for peace, and in South America and somewhat in the USA, but not as much!
All are welcome to the Dance, every country is in the Dance of Creation.

HI all, I am absolutely blown away by meeting you all... Only wish we could all meet up and have a chat and a few drinks... I love America , have been there a few times and just loved the energy.. Ireland is amazing too, but we have huge problems also..Our present Government are a disaster , the health system is inadequate and over crowdwd... But the Same Government keeps getting elected back in , which totally amazes me as everyone I meet are disguisted by the latest scandals... I am hoping in time the people of this country will wake up and demand more of our Leaders.. its all about the MONEY here too... And i must agree with a previous post .. that ANE has done more for me spiratually than years of Catholism study... I was so unaware of my ego and totally living in my EGO ... and boy was I miserable.. I hav enever been so Happy and feel I know myself and no longer tolerate the Negative internal Dialogue... I send out my love to all on this message Board, it brings me so much joy to communicate with everyone.. deshee
The big Eurpean/ American move. I am an American that has been studying in Europe for the last 3 years. Now that I have lived a little bit of both worlds I am at a crossroads also whether to settle in Europe or back in the States. As far as the energy goes I will state these differences and you can draw your own conclusions. After living abroad when I return home for vacations, I am surprised on how conservative the American lifestyle really is. The freedoms that I thought we believe in are actually more idea that action. The land of oppurtunity. This I believe hold's true in America. Americans have much more oppurtunity based upon working hard and moving up to where you want to be in life. Where as in Europe this idea of oppurtunity relates to who you know, your families economic background, social status and titles. I often see families hold onto friends not because of who they are but what they do. The good ol' dollar. If you do decide to relocate to North America, your Euro/ GBP will take you far. Every day the dollar seems to shed a penny of worth in comparison to other foreign currencies. So you will definately live a comfortable life. As far as Enlightenment goes I really just think it's based upon the lifestyle differences. American's will always be on a search for who they are and why they do what they do. You must understand that the life in America is much more rushed and stressful. Because there is more oppurtunity in America this means there are much more decisions to be made and many more regrets to be had and so little time to do it. Everyone wants the American dream and strives towards it maybe this is why A New Earth is a bestseller in America. A reason to let go of those stigma's passed down through the generations. The realization that every life is important no matter what job, past, or self appearance. American's must learn to be satisfied with Self. Everyone's life is and can be great only through realization and humility. And last but not least, you will definately miss the lack of "football" on T.V. Despite America's efforts to contract Beckham. Good luck and Best Wishes!
A different opinion perhaps. I can't speak for being an American, but as a Canadian who has lived abroad for 9 years and travelled to many countries, I would suggest that North Americans are some of those who most identify with ego.
Most in this world are living day by day with nothing and so are much more aware of the Now, the Present moment, their true essence, their Source. Many of the world's people who are truly happy, who have truly transcended ego, are the poor and downtrodden.
If I have learned nothing of my travels and living where I do, it is how those with nothing can be so happy and it is we with so much "stuff" who are unhappy and are seeking to find some sense of Peace and happiness.
I am continuously inspired and in awe of the courage, love, friendship and faith that you can see in them, as they face the struggles that each new day brings. To them, I think in many ways enlightenment comes more much naturally than it does for us, who struggle to find it.

"But don't forget all we Americans are from over there!"
Hey, back the train up a bit ktrenew, there are quite a few "Americans" (don't really like that term, there is after all North America, South America and Central America), anyway, people living in the good old USA that are NOT from over there, in fact quite a few that were here long before the ones from "over there" showed up.
It was just a joke. Light hearted fun. Meaning, there is no one native US of A except for the Native Americans. And that was my point..... Please do not read slights/stuff into my post that are not there.
To deshee: There may be more Americans on these message boards, but the energy and tone of so many of the threads are intensely negative, reactive ego arguments. I supose that was predictable in a class about ego, that the egos would come to play and fight on the playground. It's just not very inspiring or healing..
It is discouraging when you want to explore and learn more.
You might reconsider moving. There are good people everywhere, small-minded, mean-spirited, viciously ego-driven people everywhere. You will find those of your own energy wherever you are, I suspect.
But personally, I find the US a bit scary right now. Yes, there is a lot of wonderful stuff going on...like this class. .But the US is going into a downward spiral at so many levels right now. People's reactivity is sure to increase and intensify. I feel like I am watching Rome spiral down into further and further degredation and decay. I feel sad at these ugly currents, so readily voiced, becoming the dominant thread of cultural life.
