Oprah's the anti-christ.

Posted on Mar 17, 2008 1:39 AM

I'm not necesarily but you could characterize me as an Atheist and even I believe this. Her rants, her belifs, her millions upon millions of followers, "A New Earth" , this revolutionary support and ideology the synonym for "revolutionary" of course, as we all know, now in the year 2008 is "terrorist". I'm absolutely convinced. This book gives me bellyaches this man found an easy way to get famous and make a buck with the writing talent of nothing more than an advanced highschool student, ripping off ideas from previous writers and great minds of the world, Sigmund Freud, Osha, etc. Am I the only one who sees that this is a big, false scam? Am I the only one who fully apprechiates the seriousness of how much power this woman has and what shes capable of?

zzzzzzzzz......

Better than what the fundamentalists (Christians and Muslims) have to offer the world in terms of making people happy.

You have something better to cure what ails people? Then go flog it.

Well, I say that if the antichrist is responsible for bringing schools to underpriviledged children, donating millions to charity, and inspiring millions of people to read and better themselves, then imagine what Christ could do!

of course in this modern day life we're all living in this great year of 2008 the most we can do is shove our faces into the telievision or strap our fingers to a keyboard and swallow anything thats shoved down our throat. Don't wait for someone to fix your problems for you, you can very well do that yourself we're not that helpless and pathetic. Just think for yourself instead of being sheep and following anything that comes through a box in your living room.

Doesn't the bible say that the "anti-christ" will be someone who does all this good & that everyone will love and look up to?

Uh... know your audience... I'm not reading the book because Oprah said so.

And Sigmund Freud was a pale and meaningless teacher compared to Carl Jung... and he would have loved ANE.

Yes, I am.
For the record, Atheist know how to read, and if theres one thing a bitter Atheist hates, it's ignorance. I read the Bible at least a few times a week. I am very interested in this religion and am in no way against it, absolutely facinated.

"I'll bet you wouldn't have read this book if Oprah had noting to do with it."

Actually I'm reading the book because of the class. I read the Power of Now 8 years ago, so it was on the list but pretty far down.
Really I'm supposed to be reading The Madman's Middle Way about Gendun Chopel, the Tibetan debate master.

And I love debating religion and spirituality... my favorite!

C'mon don't blame her.
That's just silly!

I dont believe all of the book either, I mean I strongly disagree with many aspects HOWEVER

one thing that helped me most was in the online class he said:

the spirit, it is the essence of every human being, no matter how insane or conflict ridden we seem to appear on the surface within every human being , That remains untouched. Theres nothing that anyonone could have done to you, or nothing you could have done to others to destroy that. It is always there and that is the grace of being here, and no matter how much madness has been in your life that remains untouched.

Evil things have been done to me as a child and I have never felt any real peace since then.

The moment I heard him say it I KNEW it was the truth...I immediately wrote it down

Immediately I changed.

my pain , though it may come back ,that is yet to be seen , but I can never again attach that pain where it doesnt belong.

one example, (and I have many but too personal) is that I was beaten as a child so I have trouble discipling my kids at all, it brought back too many bad memories for me, all of those negative memories were attached to things they should not have been attached too and stopped me from being productive. now I can FUNCTION better and live with my true self!

Sure he may not be the first to have ever said these things, but it is the first time I have ever heard it.

And for you calling oprah names, now c'mon,,,don't be silly you are smarter than you are giving yoursef credit for!

I have read the Bible, Though not front to back, but I never found the answer there to the fact that I was traumatized. I truly asked God to take this pain away from me, but it never stayed away for long. But once I got the answer, who is to say it is not an answer from GOD, but just indirectly and not from His mouth!

I am saying that all Knowlege is from God, some of us share some information with another person and it is beneficial to that person ,and not harmful, than the source of that knowledge is ultimately GOD,

You started it with your sweeping generalizations about everyone on this board.

And it's impossible for you to know why they picked up the book or why they are here. It's just stupid to make a statement about people's motivations on a message board.

Lose your arrogance and I'll treat you with respect.

Dillinger , I think that is what the book IS saying "we can help ourelves!" the answer lies in you, in your spirit! You didnt come from nothing, you did not create yourself but you were given tools to realize the truth! You are Love!

Thanks for this post.
A smile grew across my face while reading that story you posted. I'm happy for you that you found something to help you. That you've become a better person. That's great! Though I don't mean to call Oprah names it was just making a point to use the term "antichrist" just as if I were to call her a "Christian" or myself an "Atheist" or anything really. I think when the cities of America crumble to the ground as did Rome as did Babylon she'll have a card to play in it.
