Flowers anyone??

Posted on Mar 16, 2008 12:11 AM

It has been odd, the weather, 10 degrees one day, 70 the next, typical for Kansa sCity, or for what Al Gore was speaking about in his movie....anyway, I've been wanting so bad, just to see a flower, a real live flower. Not at a florist, but a real one.I had to go to the bank, and speak with the banker there, in her office. I noticed her boquet, and looked at it, and caught myself trying to name it, but stopped, and tried to capture the essence of her flowers....I looked hard, and percieved their beauty, and I looked at each pettle, and I each leaf, and, as I looked harder, found, their wire stems, and wire around the leaves, and plastic around the pettles, and I kind of stopped trying to percieve their essense at that moment, I think its kind of funny.
Also,I was playing World of Warcraft today, and I realized, wow, it's quite an egotistical game. like, my level 70, the fact that she is level 70, the fact that she wants good gear, and can get it, the fact that she can do things better than lower level players, wow, it's very much ego based.I had no idea till tonight, and I play it every day. lot's of reading caused that.

My son plays W.O.W & says it's very addictive.
I'm assuming it kinda blew the moment when you saw parts of the arrangement that you didn't expect. lol
I'm in Florida so I get to enjoy the Impatients year round. I am grateful for that.

Much love & laughter,
Patricia

So interesting, isn't it, when you start to see it all? It's a funny feeling. I hope you are enjoying it.

I was thinking of flowers last night when I went to bed..

I remembered that when I was first married here I kind of waited for my husband to bring me flowers from time to time..
Of course, he seldom did..and I would equate this to a lack of caring..!!
How stupid that one was..!\

About 5 years ago when my life turned completely in many ways, I was in the grocery store and I saw the florist stand there..
I bought myself fresh flowers..
and ever since, every week or two, I buy and bring home a few bunches of flowers..

I bring them for me..I bring them for him..and for my child..

I discovered i could bring home my own flowers..and I learned that sometimes when I wait, it just may be too long..
I don't have to wait, do I..
I can do it..all by myself....!!

good spaces

First noted the quality of some artifical flowers and plants at a place in Chicago called Zuverink. Just amazing.

What is a flower? What is a plant?
How about in your mind's eye? Is that where the "real" flower resides?

I love flowers! I live in Florida and enjoy the beauty that abounds here! I also love birds. I love babies. There are so many of nature's beauty to observe and enjoy! Just being! That is the secret! I love the stage of life that 70 years has given me. The New Earth has always been here! It is man's/woman's ego that gets in the way, doesn't it!? Love Gramma Shirah

You have made me, after I'm done doing job training this week, on thursday,I'm goign to buy some fresh, inexpensive flowers. I miss the smell, the look, the coolness, to them, and I want some in my house. I also love birds. We have common birds-sparrows, bluejays, robins, etc. I love it when they sing and chirp. i love to listen to them in the early morning.I pause, when I get the newspaper from my front yard in the morning (provided it's not, like, 10 degrees outside, then I donot pause), to listen to things. I just started doing this since reading A new Earth, but I always liked birds.
