What if the next time your doorbell rang...designer Nate Berkus was there? Nate's making house calls, and not a minute too soon! If you and your family are trapped in a decorating time warp, Nate's going in...to help get you out!

  • ON today's show Nate's home improvement a product was used which he called glass frosting spray in a can. It is sprayed on clear glass window's so you can not see through then. I would like to purchase this product. Does anyone know where I can purchase this product. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

When my eleven brothers and sisters, I, and our families get together, more than 40 men, women, and children fill our parents' rancher. The small dark kitchen is unsuitable for preparing for or cleaning up after a large dinner. Its orange counter screams of another era. If Nate appeared at the door, I wish he would redo the kitchen and dining area to accommodate our large family.

Her gout and arthritis make it painful for my mother to navigate the basement steps while carrying laundry baskets. Moving the washer and dryer to main floor would make doing the laundry less hazardous and more convenient.

I want to ask Nate Berkus a question. Why is it that every home makeover he does requires the removal of the ceiling fans? I know that sometimes that are not in the style or motif that he is contributing to the homeowner. But ceiling fans do help with energy costs in both warm and cold climates. Would it be possible for him in incorporate the fans into the makeover? If not, would he explain why they are always removed? Thank you. Annette Griffith

I thought I was having a senior moment when I saw Tanya and Keith on yesterday's Home Improvement show. I knew they looked familiar and discovered they were seen on HGTV's Redesign show. They had another kitchen remodel done on that show. Are they actors? Are they flipping houses? I doesn't seem as such a random choice as I first thought.

I would love to have Nate come and help me decorate my home that is being built for my family and my elderly parents. There are many challenges and questions I face with this decorating problem.Three generations, small space and competing styles. Anyway, I thought Nate's makeovers were spectacular (as usual).

A loyal, but somewhat disappointed fan,

If Nate rang my doorbell.....If Nate was brave enough to visit Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, and climb three flights up to my humble abode, which I love, the first place I would take him is into my bathroom, except, only one of us would fit. I have an old tile shower and a bowl. Period. More of a closet bathroom. My house is an old historic brownstone built in 1864, and the bathroom must have been modeled after the an outhouse. I am a single person, with a three and a half room apartment. It is very difficult to remodel, so confusing, too many choices, not enough cash. When I think of walls being broken down, I break down. So, I simply leave it as it is. My space, no matter what, is my beautiful place. It may have a horrible bathroom and an old kitchen, but here's how I really feel about my home: MY HOUSE By Tina Portelli My house flows Of generosity Of colored coffees and love filled bread Soft pecan tastes Memories of ice cream Deserts in the night My house flames with fire Heat of scented candles Giving in to my desire Every flavor colored light Gifts my eyes with pure delight My house flows With energy and life Walls darkened red Floors dark and rustic Wild flowers bloom Peace in every room My house flows With love I've always dreamed of meeting Mr. Right, who knows how to plaster and paint. No luck yet. Nate, are you Mr. Right now? Help! Constance Portelli

Tanya and Keith had the most fantastic kitchen makeover done by Kenneth Brown (Episode HRDN-310) on HGTV's "Redesign." I wonder why they are no longer enjoying that beautiful kitchen makeover. Whatever, Nate did an excellent job on their current (???) kitchen. By the way, I think Nate's new look is extra, extra handsome and makes him that much more wonderful to look at. What a guy!

I love Nate's home improvement segments. Now we could really use his help. After 42 years of living in our home. we are moving into a coop that will be a 50 unit building for active adults 50 years or older. Since the construction hasn't started yet we will be able to pick a lot of the appliances and cupboards, flooring etc. Not only would I love his help choosing those, but even the simple things such as arranging the furniture and adding accent pieces is a challenge for both my husband and me.

We hope to spend many years enjoying this more carefree style of living and would love to have the unit reflect a warm and welcoming appreance as only he can do.

Does anyone know where the island in the kitchen came from. I love it and would love to go buy one but can not find the information on the website.

I LOVED THE REDO KITCHEN OPRAH, BUT WHY DO IT FOR SOMEONE WHO IS NOT EVEN GOING TO COOK IN IT? I WOULD GIVE MY EYE TEETH TO HAVE A HOME (NOT MY 2 BEDROOM 2ND FLOOR APT) AND NICE KITCHEN TO COOK IN. IT SEEMS LIKE PEOPLE ARE PICKED TO GET THESE THINGS THAT THEY CAN AFFORD THEMSELVES. EVEN IF MY KITCHEN LOOKED LIKE HER OLD ONE I WOULD BE HAPPY JUST TO HAVE A HOUSE TO COOK IN. GROWING UP MY BROTHER AND I HAD TO TAKE CARE OF OUR PARENTS AND WHEN THEY DIED WE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE A HOME TO SAY WAS OURS. WE LIVE TOGETHER NOW BUT LIVE PAY CHECK TO PAY CHECK, AND PUT JUST ENOUGH GAS IN THE CAR SOMETIMES TO GET US BACK AND FORTH. SO OPRAH, THESE PEOPLE YOU GIVE THINGS TO NEW KITCHENS, CARS, ETC I WISH THEY WOULD TRULY APPRECIATE THEM. WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE SOMETING YOU REALLY NEED LIKE US A WASHER AND DRYER IN OUR APT BECUASE I CANT'T DO STEPS (I HAVE MS) RUNNING TO A LAUNDROMAT IS EXHAUSTING. PEOPLE DON'T KNOW HOW LUCKY THEY HAVE IT. SANDY

After watching the show I put 5 teddybears that I had in the foyer and my bedroom safely away in a shopping bag in my closet. They were cute but I was turned off after seeing the "country house". What on earth was I doing with them? Loretta Weinzimer

My husband and I have moved many times over our 30 year marriage, including out of the country. I have decorated in a very bland way so as to be able to sell a house or use what I have in many of my homes. I would love to hear what Nate would suggest to those of us that move alot about how to decorate for ourselves as well as being able to sell our homes. Now that my husband is close to retirement, and we may be moving for the last time in a few years, I find myself afraid to step out of the box the past 30 years has put me in. Also, I would love to know where the bed linens came from in his makeover on the farm. I love the blue.

Oh my, what would I do? I think I would probably pee in my pants and be so excited that I couldn't speak! I love Nate! Not only do I think he is great and loves what he does but he seems to get as much pleasure from his work as the homeowner does...Now what would Nate do if he did ring my doorbell? Bet he'd run because I have a 70's ranch house and there is so much that needs to be re-done...Keep up the good work Nate, I love watching you!!!!

I watch the Oprah show because usually it usually produced a feel-good result.
The Oprah show has on countless occasions improved the lives of the guests who appear.
That makes us too, the viewer, feel all cozy inside. Even if WE aren't the recipient of the show's generosity, it feels good for us to witness other benefactors.

Therefore, it was a downer to see a couple receive a brand new, expensive, glamourous kitchen which they claimed they "needed", only to hear them say at the end words that amounted to them having to be inspired to use it! Making it sound like they didn't really NEED the change, but WANTED it for appearances sake.

I would have preferred a truly needy household be chosen who expressed a huge enthusiasm to dig right in and enjoy their new gift from Nate, with no hesitation, or attitude that what mattered to them was how the room LOOKED.

On another note, while Nate's changes were dramatic and beautiful, I want to tell the lady with the pink/country rooms that I loved her sense of style too, as I lean toward a country decor. Stuffed toys/dried flowers and all.

Even later, when a little countrified-dried-flower room was compared to the more blue-rug room, I favored the country room. I didn't see it outdated at all.

But that's me - (extremely balanced, by the way, thank you.)
