I really love decorating. While it would be fun to meet Nate and get his opinions, I love the way my home is decorated and would not want it redone. I also live in a hot climate and love having ceiling fans. I really can't get to sleep in a room without one. I have noticed that he always gets rid of the ceiling fans. I have 2 lovely, expensive, rust tone designer fans in my living room and I would be quite upset if he got rid of them. I guess I should also mention that my home is only 7 years old and most of the furniture is new so maybe the timing just isn't right for me now.

Can anybody tell me what kind of countertop was used in Nates kitchen makeover today (10-10-07). I can't find it on line and would love to see it in real life.

Nate I have been watching you on Oprah show many times and my eyes just popped out to the way you imagation how a room would look. I like your style anything you do is extremely awsome in the home improvement and decorating area. I 'am in a trap alright trying to get my house remodeled and having time to do this. This has been almost a 21/2 years now . I work 84 to 90 hours a week as a homehealth caregiver. I work every other week away from home, My husband of 43 years works at a fleamarket buying and selling antiques. Which is health is not good. He use to be a builder and attempted this project of remodeling our home he knocked out a wall in the kitchen and add a room to extented it for an eating area , the kitchen needs cabinets and counter tops he has attempted to do many things all at once and still is wondering around the house doing things . HE NEEDS HELP. !!! the poor man I love him dearly. My decorating skills are some what ok but i can never make a decision what goes with what. Family Room has been painted my son helped us we couldnt have done this with out his help. The tile is new in the family room took them a month to lay this. My husband had kideny stones every so often, plus his hands shakes. and is a diabetic, I am a diabetic too. so when i get home i really hate being there. its a mess the rooms are full of things we dont need i am at the point i need help. Can you be our shining hope to my minds eyes and clean up this mess of ours. God bless you for ability to look at what needs to be done. The Murphy family . P.S my hubby doesnt know i writing this . You are so right about the people who Nate help. They do seem more than capable of doing there own remodels. The couple Tanya and Keith were on an episode of reDesign on HGTV last year. Kenneth Brown renovated their kitchen. The episode was HRDN-310 (Modern Meets Traditional Kitchen). I was shocked when I saw them on TV for someone to remodel a kitchen again! I thought that the Oprah people did their homework. Surely, there was someone more deserving of a home improvement kitchen makeover than Tanya and Keith. They know what to do. Wow what a transformation!! Nate really did incredible job. I would be so so excitied if nate shows up front of my house. It would be dream come true. I don't know when I will be next but, someday I really hoping nate to come to my house and help on our backyard remodel. I really need help!!!! Hope to hear from you.. thank you~~

Wouldn't that be cool? If Nate showed up on my door step, first I'd give him a big hug (how could you not?--he is so it) and offer him a cup of tea. Then I'd probably die of embarrassment! Or burst into tears or some other weird thing. I feel like I'm drowning in stuff and clutter. There is not a counter top or surface in my entire house that is not empty. Its exhausting. I work at home (full time) and have an 36 yr. old autistic son who lives with me. He is an absolute joy, but with work, housework, shopping, cooking, yard work, it's just overwhelming sometimes. This is just not how I want to be. This is not how I use to be. I let everything slide, which makes it worse, what a cycle! I did not use to live like this. I was clean, effecient, on track and very together (maybe even a bit compulsive about it). Now its completely the other way. It would be great to have things in order (and to be able to open a closet door and not have stuff fall out). Clean, open together. I moved Steven, my son from his basement room to an upstairs room because I didnt think the basement was a healthy place for him to be (mold and dust). Now some of his stuff is downstairs, some of it is upstairs. Some of the stuff that was in the spare room is in a differnt room, some in the basement. It is so tiring to live like this. I need a wife, a decorator, a dump truck, and a backhoe. Maybe not in that order.

I think he uses Benjemin Moore paint. I just got one of his decorating books and it has several shades of whites and creams to pick from. Go to a books store and peak at this books. I am trying to figure out where to find on Opera's page..... where Nate purchased the items. Does anyone know where to LOOK??
