Look try it, it works. I could not get the weight to move, nor was I having (and don't mean to gross you out) but the nice stools that I used to have. I stopped taking all of the calcium because the "experts" said that they were mostly promotions for calcium sells. I started taking the calcium with a magnesium pill, and I can not tell you how much better I feel or how much fat or healthy stool comes out through the drought. Give it a try for a month.

There was no mention of what fruits & vegetables or the amount of each, we were to eat to get the same results as the ones in the survey. On the show it just showed what eleven pounds of fruits & vegetables looked like.

Hi, My husband bought Bowtrol for us because I was having a lot of G.I. problems (diarhea, painful bloating and distension - I Iooked four months pregnant! -, cramps, noise) and my MD said IBS. 'IBS' is just an arbitrary name for +I Don't Know But Your Gut Acts Funny+..so basically he was no help. We took the Bowtrol - I took 3 each night - and I have not had any GI problems since. The difference it made for me is phenomenal and I am really happy. From only 2 constipated movements a week (at best) to at least one a day. I have been off the Bowtrol for 2 months now and I am still very regular - although there was an adjustment period of about 3 days. It is a bit expensive but it did work for me.

About the 8 glasses of water, what most don't mention when they say that your supposed to drink 8 glasses of water is that most of that water is already in your food and drinks(cheese is 38% water, beef is about 70% water). Reality is that you could live just fine without the 8 glasses that they suggest as long as you eat a balanced diet. This does not take into account if you exercise but they are probably promotting this because it's possible some don't eat or drink as much as they should.

I must agree with Mrsmanley. Although I want to be healthy and lose weight, I can't handle Bob Greene's recipes. Every other thing (besides soy and tofu) is Low-fat this and No-fat that. Cutting fat is fine, but if I followed his recipes I think I would be twice my size! All these products that advertise "LOW FAT" are full of sugar!!! They have almost double the amount of sugar, high fructose corn syrup, fructose, and whatever other names there are for sugar.
I'm following Dr. Oz. At least I can understand the logic behind it.

I have a question that i hope will be answered with fact rather than guesses. I am attempting to follow the weightwatchers diet, counting points and such. I understand that the daily point intake should be maintained, that I should eat as many points as the diet calls for no more and also *no less** as my metabolism will slow down. I am doing half an hour of cardio workout 5 to 6 times a week with an additional 1 hour of weight lifting 2 to 3 times a week and pilates and yoga whenever i can find the energy in a desparate attempt to loose 30 lbs. Won't the workouts maintain my metabolic rate even if i'm not eating enough points? I really try to consume only 10 to 12 points rather than 18 to 20 which is suggested by the diet for someone of my age and weight.

Sorry, you may be able to ask a question. However, you don't get a response, unless your questions is chosen to be answered.

Hi, Is there a site where I can write Dr. Oz? I am a young 45 with MS and been trying to get better after a car wreck when a young boy T-bone me. I have high blood pressure and high cholesterol also, along with being overweight. I would love to get some information on how to lose weight but in a healthy way. I have limitations and need some direction where to start. I am on both cholesterol and blood pressure medicine and would love to get off. There are so many diets and fat free foods that I have no idea where to begin. I also was told that I have high sugar count recently which now makes me want to become healther even more. If you can help me please I have 3 boys I want to be around for. Thanks Beth Wilson

The choice Bob Greene made of 8th Continent is a bit confusing to me. They use genetically modified soy. I checked out their container because I used to drink this and like the taste, but there was no mention that it was GMO free or organic. I called 8th Continent and discussed this at length with a representative. She repeatedly answered the same way, by saying that use soy from many places. They do not test the soy to know whether it is GMO free so they cannot answer that question specifically. I mentioned that you either know you buy organic products or you do not, and that most companies at least know where they buy the raw material they use to make their final product! She never deviated from her statement that they do not test and they do not know whether they buy organic or GMO free. I now drink Publix soy milk because they use organic soy. Publix has a great organic line and many other companies also have the ability to know where they buy their ingredients and thus know their products purity or lack thereof.

I was only able to see the last bit of the show--so informative. Does anyone know if Oprah is repeated somewhere--perhaps even cable later today?? Thanks!!
