As Eckhart is telling us, teach them by being there. Take them places and just spend time together. Just "be". They may complain about it, but eventually they may also find themselves in the moment actually enjoying themselves. And they will someday remember you for a wonderful memory. I actually took my 12-year old son to a historic farm this past weekend. I'm sure he would have rather stayed home and played video games but I told him that I wanted to go. I found him facinated with the blacksmith. He was just consumed with watching and was very much in the present moment. (At least I hope so!) This may take the focus off of things, and buying things, which most people do in their free time. Keep trying! And good luck!
