I gotta say I was wondering about the purpose of the expression of much negativity on a lot of the boards, haveing looked them over on perhaps 5 different occasions now. And the learning continues... thanks for the heads up!

I wasn't attracted to the negativity of your post. I have been perusing these boards to get varied opinions of what this book and these classes might be all about.

Your experiment worked on me. As I get deeper into the book, I am noticing the fault-finding tendency of my ego manifest.
My ego was looking for something negative to strenghten its existence.

When this whole event started, I noticed that I was energized by a negative post, especially a REALLY closed minded Christian fundamentalist one. It had passed by the time of your post, but my curiosity got me! It's a little like how we encounter really stupid drivers when we're looking for a hostile encounter! Interesting... jcd

Why I clicked on this title .....I don't know as I have been trying NOT to engage with the naysayers After Monday night I went directly to the message boards and when I started reading I went OH NO not this bantering again . When Oprah had the segments of the Secret on..I was so happy and then I started engaging with the posters that were extremly negative and I have to say how shocked I was at the venom being spewed. I did not understand how in 2007 some of the ppl seemed to still be in the dark ages with there thinking...I felt like I was thrown back to the early 60's when I was growing up and all the crazy brim and fire stuff going on still. I finally had to stop reading......... But what I have found so far is that the message boards on this subject and ppl being aware of ego have seemed to nip it in the bud and ppl are not engaging with the negativity. Oh sure there is still some but it "feels" as it is subsiding. Maybe it is because I don't engage with them and catch myself thinking get the ego out of the way. Hey I still got work to do as I did click on the title LOL. Anywho...loved your post (as always) Can't wait for Monday night. Cheri
