There is definately a show to be made for this.....and introducing celebrities would enhance the awareness.....on top of Dr. Oz and LLMD's.
Highly doubt Prez. Bush would make an appearance tho.....
How about Brooke Landau?? She would be ideal as a guest for a show along with the doctor who lost his license to help her get well. Anyone hear about her story??

I agree....We need to get Brooke Landau on the show. She would be so great! She is so well spoken and an inspiration to all of us with lyme. Amy Tan would be great too!
I feel it's very important here to make a distinction between acute lyme and chronic lyme. If Christy Turlington just got hit with lyme and she is treated properly and closely followed it will never turn chronic. She'll be fine. That is why in my opinion it's a bad idea to look for famous actors and actresses with chronic lyme. I'm guessing that for most of them that do get lyme it won't be allowed to go chronic. They can afford to get all the IV treatments, doctors who understand and will spend hours with them and alternative care. It is the rest of us poor folks who get just about five minutes with our doctors and then are turned away. It is the average Joe who is never properly diagnosed and then goes untreated for years who will end up in a chronic condition. Yes Richard Gere was very sick but he got immediate excellent care so now he's fine. Someone like him or Christy Turlington can never adequately represent those truely suffering with chronic lyme and unable to find medical help. Brooke Landea and Amy Tan are a different story. They both suffered enormously before it was caught and taken care of. I'm just posting this on the off chance that someone from the show will read it and gain some insight.
There is a google sight that is labeled "Literati with Lyme" You will find a few more names there. JW (post name is janeis)
