My Best Friend Gail/Aha Moments

Posted on Mar 4, 2008 5:52 PM

Oprah, my Aha moment actually came a few years when a lady crossed my path who has know become my best friend Gail. I had actually done alot of the things that Mr. Tolle talks about in both of his books, however when I tried to talk to others about my feelings they would just look at me like I was weird. It was not until a lady crossed my path who is NOW my best friend Gail several years ago that I found someone I could begin to talk to about this as she felt the same way. We have been big fans of yours and are both taking the class. So I had aha moments early on in my life just didn't know what they were and no one to explain them to me until Gail, Oprah and Mr. Tolle came into my life. Thank you so much for making this possible. Pauline Musgrove

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!

I know the message of Eckhart is to find our I Am and that will give us...what...joy, peace, knowing??? I guess I am still working it all out.

It sure is nice to have humans to speak with though, while I am on my journey.

Be patient with yourself while on this journey. This is not a crash course your on. Remember, your trying to undo a life time of programing and it can't be done over night! You can however experience brief moments of being present that will become more frequent and constant. In this way we're able to dissolve our ego that is most destructive to our selves.
When your in the state of presence there is no outside "noise" dictating what to think or how to think.
Not sure what page your on in the book. As you read highlite that which you don't understand with one colour then use another colour for the things that make sense to you. Then you are able to ask questions that will help you on your journey. This is a book that needs at least a couple of reads.

See yourself as a child that is just beginning to discover the world around you for the first time. One without labels and without purpose. That is being in the moment, I am!

Cheers
Christine

Hello my name CC , my Aha moment came years ago aswell when my mother died, I said oh God who will I talk to about the things you my mom and I shared. I being young thought that me and my mom where the only ones who thought this way. and then God sent into my life by a interesting experience the book the power within. THE POWER WITHIN writen by Connie Mendez which is also hard to find due to the fact it is most of the time found in Spanish, WOW I still get that Aha Moment when I thaink about it. I did not feel so all alone. and was very Aha that other people thought and knew what I thought was just between me and my mother and God.

This is a feel-good thread!!! Can I offer friendship to anyone who needs it as well? I am also new and looking to take the journey. When I was reading the book, I thought of the ego as like an ex-boyfriend who tries to sweet talk you and tell you what you want to hear, when what you need to hear is that you are better off without him. Friends are exactly what we NEED in moments like these.
