I like Dr. Oz, from the scrubs to his rapport with the audience and Oprah, but he lost some credibility when he told Oprah that one sees the brain when looking through the pupil. What is seen is the back of the eye.

Dr Oz, just another male doctor dismissing want is a serious problem for women, Bladder control. He should speak with a good urology physician and get all the lastest info. He should have spoken on the surgery now available. I did the exercise bit for a while, didn't work. I'm now looking into having the surgery. Maxine

A doctor can look behind the eye, so to speak, to view the optic nerve (which carries light impulses from the retina to the brain) and examine its shape and color for signs of neurologic diseases such as brain tumors.

True. Most people know that. But the optic nerve is NOT the brain.

Hi there. I was just wondering if juicing is good for small children. ie 10 months and older? If so, what would be best?

I read the article on cellulite but I was unsure as to the answer. How do I get rid of all or most of it? What exercise should I be doing to make this happen? Kathleen Willis

I saw the question about the puppy killer and I was wondering what that meant. I learned after an internet search that Dr. Oz does conduct animal testing at Columbia but does that mean that he does animal testing on puppies. Please explain what this is all about as I am interested.

I think you should ask a pediatrician about it but I think that in general, eating the fruit is better than drinking the juice from the fruit. It is probably a good idea to rinse after consuming fruit juice, to prevent damage to teeth.

I would not want to use something if it causes another living thing to suffer... just so I can get rid of a wrinkle, of all things.

I think the best thing I can do to get fewer wrinkles is to use sunscreen and to not frown or squint.

Dear Dr Oz, Why is it your mind knows what you should do but the follow through is so difficult? I know-i need to get up and get moving. I know-i need to not eat as much. I know-i need to cut the extra's, but when it comes to doing i am almost through before the trigger to stop sets in? I can't seem to motivate myself. It takes me all morning when my family is gone to get motivated. I am so unmotivated. I find myself sleeping most of the day (over 13hrs or more). The only reason i get up is keep my husband from thinking i am not a lazy bump. I really am a hard worker and not lazy once i get motivated. I will work to get the job done and stay late and put fourth more effort than most people out there when the environment to do so, but when i don't' have a trigger to start i can't seem to get going. It is really starting to affect me. I can tell i am tired constantly, and my strength level is not there anymore. My motivation is not as long anymore as well. I keep getting heavier and heavier, less motivated everyday. I have had lots of stressors in the past year and really am getting to the point where i just want to hind and have nothing to do with people. Which, is nothing like me. I have volunteered for baseball, basketball, track ( i am usually a coach or a team parent) and i have been in Cub Scouts for eights ( four years as a Cubmaster) usually putting in more hours than a regular job. I can hind it really well in the evenings, weekends, or aroung others, but i can't stand it anymore. Please help, what can i do to get motivated and stay that way?

Oprah--I love it when Dr. Oz and Bob Greene are on your show. Bob has made buying healthy foods easy with his Best Life recommendations---can you and Dr. Oz do the same for vitamins? It would be great if you could name a few good choices for vitamins so we don't have to read every label in the store trying to find out if it has all Dr. Oz's recommendations--1000 units of Vitamin D, a multi-vitamin with 2,500 units of Vitamin A, split in half, DHA Omega 3 etc. etc. etc.!!

Looking for a vitamin that matches what Dr Oz says a woman over 50 should take. What a pain trying to find the right one. Has anyone had any luck?

Hi Dr. Oz and Oprah: Watched your show on no smoking and was sadenned to hear the life coach say, "people smoke because it relax's them", I recently became a happy non-smoker. The main reason being, the nicotine in the cigerrette did nothing to relax me whatsoever. In fact, I was more nervous because I couldn't wait to light up my next cigarette to relieve that constant "itch" for another fix of nicotine. Have you ever really watched smoker's, out in the cold, sucking a few more puffs on their break, Do they look relaxed to you? I think their is a huge misunderstanding about smoking and smoker's. The illusions that well-meaning therapists' and drug companies promote unwittingly. I picked up the book The Easy Way To Stop Smoking, by Allen Carr. If you are a smoker, it will amuse you and enlighten you. It was written by a guy that smoked 100 cigarettes a day, and had some realizations that made it easy to free himself from the trap. Smoker's are strong-willed, individuals, who do as they please , and if they had the correct information, they would use it like the leaders they are. I know that you and Oprah have the utmost integrity, and wouldn't promote untruths, so my question to you both is Have either of you ever been adiicted to cigarettes? If not, get the truth from a smoker, they are the real experts on smoking. I wish you would have a representative from Easyway come on the show! Thanks, Jill Patton

I have a question about candida and the gastrointestianal tract. My four year old son got the results back from a stool sample that he has candida and "inadequate beneficial bacteria" in his intestines. We also a few months ago got results that he had a few food sensitivities. I believe that this may be due to the fact that he had many doses of antibiotics starting when he was 1 1/2. He jammed a toothbrush down his throat (actually under his tongue) and got an abcess from it. Oral antibotics wouldn't work so he was admitted into the hospital and they gave him (who knows how many) antibiotics intrevenously. This was in October of 2005. The following month he had his first febrile seziure and the gave him antibiotics because he had low levels of white blood cells just ot be sure. He then began getting (quite a few) febrile seizures over the next few months. In the summer of 2006 he got an unexplained ileius and could not poop or eat. to the point where he couldn't walk. We took him to the hospital, they instructed us to keep him on a liquid diet for a few days and allow it to pass. In january 2007 he started a preschool/daycare. He began to get ear infections (along with my 1year old daughter) and recieved more antibiotics (i think about three bouts of it) and was no getting reoccuring ear infections. we finally just stopped took matters into our own hands, homeopathically fixed the otitis media problem,(diet, herbs, probiotics and chiropractor) and early this year found out he had food sensitivities. We changed his diet and now he has candida. He was getting sick frequently but after the change in diet and the probiotics (supplements and raw organic cows milk) he hasn't had any seizures and his allergies are gone, no ear infections and has gotten over his sicknesses in a few days if he gets sick. My question is how is all this tied in and how can we quickly fix his gi tract problem so that we can have him eating nearly whatever he wants. We eat 80% vegetarian whole grain with a few eggs meat and chicken throughout the week, no junk food. I just want him to be at his best and not worry about him anymore. He never got sick until that first bout of antibiotics. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
