Oprah you were not present at the Eckhart Tolle interview but your EGO was...

Posted on Mar 4, 2008 1:22 PM

Hi Oprah: You were not present with Eckhart Tolle at the Monday night interview but your ego was and that is why the webcast did not work properly.... Eckhart Tolle is a true spiritual teacher. A VERY VERY VERY RARE GEM. Yes, he is also an author. But his books are only a 'vehicle' to bring his teachings to us. He is not just another author with a great book. This has to be identified. As such, he has to be protected and treated very differently. At the interview, you were in presence of a true spiritual teacher. Yet you interviewed him just like the way you interview with any actor or any author. YOU MISSED THE POINT. It does not seem that his presence has any effect on you. You stated that "...this is an opportunity of a life time..." yet you conducted an interview as if he is just another author with a great book....very sad! When you are in presence of a true spiritual teacher, your ego cannot hide and it shows itself even more and stronger. Just a suggestion...I hope you hear what I am saying. For the caller, Kelly...it was even more sad. here, she is maybe claiming that the book changed her life but yet she chose to ask you a question and not to connect withe the great living teacher sitting right here present and happy to teach. It is so sad to see that even the 'awaken' ones are 'half sleep."

Oprah does tend to interrupt way to often. Even the Little Bit that I got to see, she would ask him a question, then interrupt him in the middle of his answer. (I get the feeling that she feels that her thoughts/feelings are more important than his.)

Oprah did her job and was present. The later chapters will explain we all do as we are called to do. I didn't see Oprah's Ego.. i saw oprahs profession and enthusiasm. Not all can understand what eckhart was saying, some may have needed the translation oprah engaged in. Think of the whole, not just what you were looking for. Who's ego was watching?

Your post is too funny!!! (Also slightly alarming and creepy.) Maybe Oprah finally does GET it: this guy is, indeed, just an author she has made into a "Profit" and is by no means a "Prophet". (Somebody posted that Deepak Chopra made that joke on The Colbert Report when asked about himself.) :-)

I'm curious as to why you felt the need to write that about Oprah? Did it change the way you viewed the seminar, did it interfere with your expectations? Maybe you need to re-read the book again. Just a suggestion.

Somebody missed the point, alright, but it wasn't Oprah.

Take the linkin log out of your own eye, before you start digging around for Oprah's speck.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'ma go dig my own log up.

WOW! That's a pretty strong accusation. Is it meritorious to indict Oprah for "her ego" (your words -- not mine) and not your own? It took your pretty strong ego to accuse her, but maybe it's really your ego that your pain body is revealing to itself. Forgive me if I am wrong. I'm still growing and definitely have more to learn on this journey of living present. *+Sidebar: I'm not reading the book, I listen to the audiobook on my Ipod via download so it may be better if I did in fact read it.+* At any rate, Tolle's book teaches us one of the most important messages we need to grow and to be present, which is to see the log in our own eye. Therefore, the pain body in others is, often times, what should make us ever the more sensitive to how equal (or lesser) we are, thus diminishing us and relieving us from/of complaining about other people thereby cleansing the Earth. Again, perhaps your reflection of what you are accusing Oprah of is really your very own pain body revealing itself to YOU.

Wow! I cannot believe this message...................! At first glance one would never know are a follower of the truth spirit....................talking about judgmental and negative!

Due to technology there was problem, but I am honor that this broadcast is taking place for a number of reasons.

1) Oprah, a woman of color, from the deep south is the voice that is being used by spirit to open the eyes of the work to truth

2) Oprah, a woman, who has clearly been lead by spirit is put herself out to help others experience what she had been so blessed to receive.

The sleeper seems to be you, the awaken one her is your EGO..............................!

Clearly, the lesson "If you have nothing nice to say do not say anything at all" has not sunk into your heart or mind!

Namaste

hahahahahahahah Realized Beings are simply one that have had the coverings removed.
Yes there is a different Consciousness but one steps into extraordinary Ordinary -

but really what Tolle is speaking of and how he
relates makes it clear it is not yet Realization for him but a step lower in oneness.

Yes a more extended witness state with self in oneness.

What happens is this type of thing emerges along the way - when whatever one wants to
know emerges and is within consciousness either as a whole concept or appears line by
line directly.

Even within the first few moments this was extremely obvious. No Realized Being needs
to move to be within a better energy field. All that falls away in Realization.
But this is the case with those in oneness. They are still caught up in energies
more. There is still the thread of self there - a thin thread. One more to be cut.

As far as Oprah she is doing her job as it is.

AS far as the comments they had a very manufactured feeling and of course all were
promoting the contents of the book and direction of the show to be going in a
predetermined direction. Spontaneous ? Not with those shots and backgrounds
immeditately on screen. Who is there shooting the video feed ?

This is what producers do they will pick questions and guests that move the show
in a certain predetermined direction.

The book can start to begin the awakening process but there is further steps beyond
the books pointing.

Even Oprah is learning as she conducts these broadcasts. Did you not hear her have a few of her own 'Aha' moments? She even said that "Oh now I get it" when Eckhart made many of his points.

This is not about someone on the airwaves 'teaching the world a lesson', this is about someone who cares deeply about human kind enough to bring to as many people as she can a new way of thinking, a new way to happiness in ourselves and she is right there with us all learning.

Kudo's to you Oprah.

I didn't see it that way at all, maybe Oprah was just as excited as the rest of us. I think you are the perfect example of what EGO is.

People like Eckhart wouldn't get their message anywhere without people like Oprah. They are both important pieces of the puzzle. You can't have one without the other. Each has their strength and their weakness.

I got sucked into your post because I couldn't believe the title of it. We do not have to revere "spiritual teachers" as you are saying. I'm sure Eckhart wouldn't want that. I think it was a great dialogue and we don't need icons. They were just regular people like us in my eyes and that is what is so great about them both. You are mistaken, try to wake up.

I'm confused. Why would Eckhart need to be "protected and treated differently"? He is a being like you and I and Oprah. A gifted person, yes, who was able to get it and put pen to paper for us. And I feel Oprah has so GOT IT. She has brought us this beautiful, amazing, inspiring message. Eckart is special and different but not above everyone. He is like every peson on this planet, a conscious being. If he were to consider himself bigger than that that would be ego, and the whole point of this "spiritual teacher" is to get us from thinking in ego. So maybe it is you who challenge Oprah on this that have "MISSED THE POINT" This book is not about anyone but ourselves. It is not about Oprah, Eckhat, or others reading your words, but it is about the message we see in the book and how they relate to us personally. It is about ones self. That is the point. How we can change our conscious being. We can sit here and judge, criticize, get upset, and deny, but that is just your ego. For us to truly get it we should welcome anyone who is trying to spread this wonderful message. This is a personal journey for every one person. My path is different then yours, my husbands, Oprah and any one else. This book is a great tool to get us inside ourselves. To find ones true essance. So I say to Eckhart, Oprah and the many others who have got it, Thank you!
