Am_ris: When the New Earth finally begins to manifest... I hope you're still around. Or at least agree to come back once in awhile!
Ahem, anyway. Back to the topic of the thread, which I have now thoroughly hijacked (sorry!)...
I think that a lot of people begin to search in earnest for awakening when they are in low points in their lives. There is a lot of suffering in the world, and there are even people who are unhappy for no seeming reason... this is because, as Mr. Tolle teaches... our thoughts can always conjure fears for us to cling to, or release, as we see fit.
:_|you r right about those fears..my husband has been keeping so many secrets from me i have a fear of losing him WHY? I don't want to go anywhere when he is here..i feel so stupid..but this book is beginning to make me see things in a different way.
My husband's favorite mantra is "You came into this world alone and the only way out is alone." Personally, being from a BIG family, I love being alone.
But,TRULY I KNOW I am never really ALONE, my BEST FRIEND is ALWAYS with me
Even so, I believe it is important to recognize that I am part of a larger community and that it is important to find ways to commune ... the internal and external worlds weaving in and out of themselves seeking harmony and balance ....... it's all really just nature finding a perfect order!
