How can we talk about the show when Oprah showed her true colors today? I am disgusted by her actions! Allowing her staff to come RUNNING onstage in front of millions of people to hold her ass up and put her damn shoe on! PLEASE, that is just downright demeaning and degrading to those people, she didn't even say THANK YOU! If she can't walk in the damn things, wear sneakers! I always admired her, for years, now I am so disgusted! This is the woman leading the class A New Earth???? God Bless Us All
YOU ARE KIDDING RIGHT?
YES, she had gotten fat yet again, but I too struggle with my weight and won't belittle her, that would be like expecting someone to run out to my living room in the morning to hold me up while I tried to fit my size 7 feet into my size 6 red bottom shoes!!!!
How about the one who wrote that she was there and saw no problem with it because she heard Oprah say thank you, she has no clue that she is even missing the point!!! That woman is idolizing her, rather than looking at TRUTH, I hope that she joins the Class! Some people are just so naive, the point is honey, they DID televise it! Hello????
I doozed of for a moment...thinking of lovely assistants putting shoes on my feet...eating lovely musketeer mints, since they are so light (so I can easily eat three at a time)...still looking lovely in my Dior outfit....wise men whispering truths in my ears...not a bad life, I'd say...
ROFLMAO....I have to laugh at all you ladies (and gentlemen) who spend so much of your time and energy on being so critical of Oprah and her staff. What is this...."let's tear down Oprah and her staff?" Come on....you are better that that. NO one is perfect and some may have flaws, who doesn't? I'm sure there are alot of your flaws that people can pick on. But if you want to "criticize" her and some of her action, why don't you doing constructive- in a positive way. People will listen more and make the necessary changes if you use your energy to something a lit more positive. I'm sure you know what I mean. Some of you are so negative that you didn't even listen to the ladies who told you what really happen that was not aired. If you get out of your high ego negative criticism, you might had heard what they said of what really happen. I see alot of Oprah's flaws, and I can spend alot of my engergy criticizing her, but why? IF I'm going to do it, I won't d o it publically. Because I would like to at least show some respect and dignity. Not because who she is publically, but who she is also privately. I'm sure that is what you want others to do for you. Right?! Take a chil pill or have a drink and take a deep breath. Safe hugz!
well, I'm always a bit confused when I hear the term 'constructive criticism'. What does it mean? And how could the 'critics' on the thread have put their message across in a more constructive way?
Nancy...if I may say this. First, if I offended you or anyone else, I apologize. Second, what most posted here is more insults and degrading then constructive criticism. To me, I heard the tone in reading how destructive many sound to me. Ok, my opinion. If I'm wrong, I apologize. But if you are going to give someone constructive critism, you need to some how add a suggestions to the constructive critism.
Let me give you an expample, if you don't mind. (ok I can be guilty of this too). Something I've learned from my own experience and the experience of others. Let's say I'm going to give you a "contructive critism". I would say.... Nancy, instead of finding the negative to be so negative, maybe I suggest somehow you look in and see what 1 positive thing you can find. No one is perfect, we all have flaws. So how can you turn that negative into a positive. Oh I know easier said then done. but instead of criticizing about how she had staff helping with her shoes, etc... why not suggest to her not to air that part of the show and be all ready first in a positive way. Instead of jumping off your chairs and "screaming and yelling" which really isnt going to get you anywhere, find something that would have her listen to what you are saying. (I hope this making sense).
Sometimes it may be an oversite and we just overwork ourselves or even dramatize something that may not be. After all, some of us may see things differently. And perhaps you did perceive what you say to be correcte even if others may have not perceived that way. It does not make any of us right or wrong. Nor does it make her right or wrong. But seeing that a big percentage of us were not there, we don't really have all the facts. We only have the facts of what little we saw. Maybe she was wrong to do this before the show started. We don't know why she or her producers aired that part. But if we are going to criticize them , the least we can do is give them some credit of doing what they are paid to do....produce and air the show. If we don't like it, we do have remotes and can change the channel, yes?
I'm more than sure that many here may have had good intentions of criticizing her or/and her staff, but if we are going to do it, other then speaking of the negative, lets' also find a positive critcism to throw in with it. Is this what you would want if you had family or friends or even your employer to talk to you or treat you? And if you are not sure about something, maybe instead of being angry at them, ask to clarify to prevent any misunderstandings.
Please don't get me wrong. Although I believe Oprah is dong alot of good, but i'm sure she has her many flaws. Just like the rest of us. doesn't make her a bad person, nor any of you. I don't worship her nor do I think she is a "goddas"...she is human. Like you and I. Mistakes will be made. We all are guilty of this. Whether we are in the spot light or not. Whether we have red bottom shoes or not. So what she is abit "fat"... gee she is getting old and she did admit she loves food. But she is trying to do the good not only within herself but for many others. No body is perfect. but if we expect people to forgive our flaws, then we should forgive their flaws too. Yes?
I'm sure you had good intentions to criticize her flaws, but can I suggest if you are going to, also throw in a positive suggestion with it. If you want her to improve her actions, then you need to throw in a positive suggestion with the criticism.
I hope this all made sense...if not, don't be afraid to ask. Sometimes I do have a problem explaining it "elementary"...lol. That is one of my flaws!
