Valerie Bertinelli

Oh my God! Valerie is so boring! If you're going to write a tell-all book, is it really necessary to playact a teen in the adult discussion with Oprah? I found it so disappointing....not Oprah -- she's always a wonder. B-)

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed seeing Valerie today! We are around the same age, I grew up watching her and she is still so cute !! I congratulate her on being so opened in her interview. You never heard much about her and Eddie. I remembered when she started dating him that I thought they matched. I thought they looked alike back then and made a great couple. So candid about her own issues and unfortunatley the era we grew up n was loaded with cocaine. It was like seeing an old friend. Her face was flawless not one of a party girl. She was so nervous today, as anyone would be after being so silent and being next to Oprah! Easy to forget things you said GOOD THING YOU WROTE IT DOWN VAL!! It takes alot of courage to talk about your life and so open to let others judge you. I want to say THANK YOU. THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU AND THANK YOU FOR MAKING IT OUT OF EVERYTHING OKAY!!! THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO TELL US ABOUT YOUR LIFE. You are encouragment for all women out there who are in a relationship and can't get out of it. WHO ARE DEPRESSED AND CAN'T GET OUT OF IT!! It was a pleasure seeing you today, I had wondered where you went to and how your life was. Your son is beautiful and I am glad to see you are well on your way to the BEST age of your life!!! May God Bless youand keep you in the palm of his hand always. Give your self a big pat on the back Valerie!!! Have two sugar free jello's with a ton of whip cream on it !! REMEMBER YOU REACHED AT LEAST ONE PERSON TODAY YOU MAY HAVE SAVED SOMEONE THAT REALLY NEEDED TO HEAR SOMETHING YOU SAID.
Peace, light and love to you
Thanks Oprah!
Summer

I just wanted to say that I totally agree with you on everything you said. This show did touch me and helped me. Valerie is an inspiration to me. I am a 39 year old, divorced mother of 3 teenage sons. I have a past filled with drug use, a lifetime of the "battle of the weight". Since I have quit using drugs and gotten divorced (4 years ago), I have become a hermit....gained 50 pounds in the process and I am not very happy with myself at all. The show today really touched me and I am going to buy the book tomorrow. I really believe this show was my turning point! Thank you!

I enjoy watching people in their transformation phases and I am happy for Ms. Bertinelli and her progress both emotionally physically and psychologically... The funny thing about all of this is her and I are just a couple of years apart and back in the days of One Life to Live I thought she was the most beautiful actress on TV....She was the beauty I aspired but never got to be....Yes I am on my own journey Now she looks just like I remembered her... Beautiful with a nice bright smile that shines from her eyes to her toes......CONGRATULATION GIRL!!!! KEEP TAKING THAT JOURNEY.....

It was great to see Valerie on the show. I think we all can learn something from her life. I was surprised though , how she seemed so embarrased about her past. Let it go. that was another life, another person. I think that we have to accept our past for what it was, and hope that we our ever evolving and growing.

I am so gald that you had her on your show, I have been told my whole life that I look just like her, people at the store now when I am inline and they see her on magazine covers comment on how I look like her. I even got fat when she did. she is a inspiration to many and I am so glad that she was able to loose her weight and write a book that was so honest.
