I have seen the show and I have read through hundreds of posts regarding the family who was blessed to receive the house by Nate through Oprah's show.
I would like to suggest a whole new angle to this community on the discussion boards. There is a lot of bitter folks here. I am hoping that by taking a step back realizing that just because these people had 1000's more square footage of a home, or more closet space, or they had something that you did not your problems are 'real' and these peoples problems are 'real' as well. We all walk our own journey in life and one person skinned knee is just as painful and not to be looked down upon through different eyes. God did not create the world to be that way or hope that our hearts would be that way.
I am sincerely sorry that there is so much bitterness towards the family, Nate, and Oprah for those that did not receive help and that are simply angry with this family that was helped on today's show. My family has had many, many hardships as well. We are a family of 5 with cancer, chronic pain injury that will be lifelong -- and we have tried to celebrate little things through our love in Jesus to prosper in the positive answers that we receive through friends and family. Also through our finances.
I guess through my post I would TRULY like to encourage people through their hardships, like my famil and I, we would encourage you to take a look at even today in the home that you live in and find 2 or 3 small celbrations in the home you live in and not compare yoruself to anyone and be thankful for your home and know that the people you live with are your gifts and true blessings from God. They are unique to you and your home. My oldest daugther moved to college this year -- and when that changed in my life this year -- wow! I wish I could still have her within my home.
Please accept my post with love for families around the world and with due respect to each individual situation. God gives us today. Celebrate with the family that was chosen. They have walked 'their journey' -- and it was a rough one for 'them'. Don't compare yourself....just accept that it was 'their' story. I urge you.
God Bless you!
Be at peace and you may be surprised -- God may just reign down on you with some blessings that may surprise you with you know expecting it!!!
