Google 'the hungersite'; you can donate daily for even six causes; hungers, breast cancer, children's health, literacy, rainforest and animals. You only have to click and the donation is being made, sponsors pay for every click you make. Everyon can click on a daily basis! Help six good causes in 15 seconds of your time, a day!!!

The UN World Food Program has a free click site as well. Just google "freerice" and you can sign on. This is a site that not only donates free food but is also an educational site. For every correct answer you get 10 grains of rice. The quiz zes are in several categories - art, math, chemistry, English, geopgraphy and languages and set for different levels. A lot of fun, a great way to learn and a safe way to contribute through an organization that does track all their food shipments to insure that they reach the people they are intended to reach. You can also sign up for a Free Rice toolbar which when used to search the web wil donate 5000 grains of rice. Little frops of water, little grains of rice.

It's more than worthwhile, but please remember there is very often hunger right where you live.

So please remember to donate to your LOCAL hunger-centers as well.

No problem. We have always worked both streets -
main and overseas. In fact I have posted a couple of comments just
recently on this subject. Right now we have shifted the majority of our
efforts to our neighbourhhood, city and country. A lot of serious
suffering going on just next door. Times are very hard and getting harder
- especially for the elderly and ill and disabled. We support
(financially) aid to other countries but we have become very, very careful
about who we contribute to. Not willing that the good we are trying to do
is being perverted into pure evil - foreign governments hi-jacking food
shipments to feed their armies and using aid dollars for weapons instead of
medicine.

When I first learned about click sites I was very
suspicious but I did some research and the hungersite, freerice and Care2 are
all reputable organizations. And all it takes is a few seconds a day to
donate to any or all of their causes. Not all their effort goes overseas
either.
