We recently started juice plus and also would like some unbiased opinions preferably from Dr. Oz himself. Dr Sears is a big advocate but it appears he is also a distributor so I am not sure if I can trust his viewpoint. Is it worth the money and can it deliver on it's promises of providing increased amount of nutrients and antioxidents?

Look into Dr Isadore Rosenfeld of Fox News "Sunday Housecall". He is not a distributor and recommends Juice Plus, there are thousands of doctors and health professionals doing the same. A great many of these are not involved in the business side of Juice Plus, although, as a distributor myself, I certainly understand why anyone who takes the time to look into the product, would opt to be a distributor as well as take it. Frankly, it is the best nutritional aid on the market and I am proud to introduce people to it.

I am also interested in receiving unbiased comments about Juice Plus (not from distributors please). My son, who is an adult, has never eaten vegetables and now is pre-diabetic. He is trying to change his lifestyle by exercising more, losing weight, watching fat gram, but he has difficulty adding veggies to his diet. I heard about Juice Plus (I have two friends who take the supplement), but I'm reluctant to get him started on something that reeks of a scam product. It would be a financial committment for his family of four. The money may be better put to work in other ways.

Dr David Katz, who is a contribributor to The Oprah magazine, was the Keynote speaker at the Juice Plus convention this past October. I do not believe that he is involved with the business side of the product, but he did get partial funding from Juice Plus, .for his "Nutrition Detectives" DVDs , so that they can be freely distributed to schools. My personal Physician takes it and recommeneds but is not a distributor. I know there are a great many that do the same, however I know a great many are also involved in the business side. As it was explained to me by more than a few of them, the supporting evidence convinced them of the value of it and thus went into promoting it.

Is there anyone on Oprah's team that can answer the original question regarding Dr. Oz views on this? Thank you

I am possibly biased because I once believed in using Juice Plus. I don't think the product is a scam, but possibly the distribution & marketing of it are. I don't know what Dr Oz thinks about Juice Plus, but I used it for a couple of years. I am not a Distributor (now) but I once was only because I could not afford it unless I became one. I borrowed money & went into debt believing I would make the money back & more, but that was not the case. I couldn't sell it that well, long before the recent perilous financial times. I had thought I would be able to because I love people & helping people to help themselves. I initially felt very positive until my friends & acquaintances got tired of being around me because that was all I talked about or thought about. (also one of the selling suggestions) I got into all the rah rah positive energy hoopla, going to expensive (for me) conventions & trainings, weekly upbeat sessions w/ the person who got me into it & followed the suggested format of how to go into business selling it. It didn't work for me like the testaments of the multimillionaires that claim it worked for them. I ended up losing my car to repossession after I got behind in payments of the loan I had taken out (using my car as collateral) due to losing money when I couldn't sell it.
Yes, I lost weight using it & felt better because I was not getting fresh fruits & vegetables into my diet then, but I am starting to feel better & lose weight again now that I am actually getting fresh fruits & vegetables into my diet. If you are unable to eat fresh fruits & vegetables & have the money to afford it, by all means, go for using it--it's the next best thing. Otherwise, be very careful if you think you will make a lot of money being a Distributor because I sure didn't & I have since met others who had similar experiences to mine. Although there are people that have made a lot of money from it, there are also (IMHO) a lot of people who haven't.

Hi olga_p. Sorry to hear that you had an unsatisfying experience with the company. The work is definitely not suited to everyone. It is hard to know that you can help people with something really wonderful, and they aren't open to it. It's always their choice. Amy Actions
