I have a huge amount of empathy for the families with children who have Autism. CLEARLY VACCINES HAVE NOT BEEN POSITIVELY LINKED as the cause. NOT VACCINATING YOUR CHILDREN CAUSES HARM ONLY TO YOUR CHILD. It puts them at risk for a multitude of diseases & possible death. There are still areas in this world who do not have the luxury of debating over vaccines, and curable childhood illness's are endemic. As a RN I see the hysterical parents who have received their degrees from "Google", refuse vaccines. Also, I must correct you. The pediatric flu vaccine is competely thimerisol free. (Not one size fits all). Make sure your child gets this one. Almost all vaccine made today are thimerisol free, or have a trace amount. It must have a preservative agent. Yes, the amount of shots given these days seems excessive. Not all are required by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Find out. Also, There is no HepC vaccine! We vaccinate against HepB & HepA. The HPV shot is not mandatory in any state. Most importantly, please don't refuse the MMR in a state of panic. It is safe. If you prefer, you can ask your doctor to split it up into 3 shots, given 1 month apart. This can be done.
Thank you so much for that info. I was reacting myself in craze of my child having to have his MMR vaccine in 4 weeks after todays show. We have a consult with our Pediatrician next on it. I called today after watching the show. I did not know they could split it up in 3 seperate vaccines. What does splitting them up do? Again thank you so much.
missy, either you are paid by the same pharma pimps that promote 37 freaking vaccines to infant with no immune systems, and no blood brain barrier, or you are just plain crazy. Vaccines are no longer saving lives- they are causing 1 in every 6 school age children to have neurological disorders. Studies on Flu shots have even shown that they are completely ineffective.

This book does NOT tell you that you should or should not vaccinate. However it does give information that your not going to get on research that has been done.
What does it harm to be informed regardless if you agree with the information or not.
This is how I make informed and educated desicions everyday.

Just so you know, showme64, there is nothing wrong with the information you can get from google. I can't even believe that you would make that comment. The amazing thing about the Internet is it's free information that anyone can learn from. And because of said google, we have learned how to help my nephew recover from this devastating disorder CAUSED by vaccines and possibly other factors. Jenny has helped her son recover. We have had many blood tests done and even 1 year after the MMR he is FIGHTING the measles. Any doctor looking at his blood work would say that this kid HAS the measles. Yeah, save his life...MMR GAVE him the measles, so that now his body is at war. Just because you are an RN, does NOT make you an expert on this disease NOR the causes of it. There are doctors that I personally know that have far greater degrees than you, that could and would show you how wrong you are. One problem with the mainstream medical community is that they are trained by the pharmaceutical companies. And just because doctors have to take an oath of "do no harm" does not mean they don't. (Medical errors kill thousands of Americans every year!) Pharmaceutical companies are in it for the bottom line. They will NEVER admit to a mistake of these proportions. EVER. So don't expect it. Jenny is dead on about something...her child and experience is the science...the many THOUSANDS of studies proving the link is the science, the millions of mothers out there that see "the change", are the science, the many wonderful DAN Dr's out there that help THOUSANDS of autistic children recover, are the science, but it is ALL squashed like a little bug by the "big boys" and people who are duped into taking what they lie about at face value. Before you EVER make such a bold statement as you have tonight again, just ask yourself two questions, 1. Have you ever been wrong before? and 2. Has the medical community ever had to make a revision on something they previously thought true?

I certainly hope your nephew has a speedy recovery. How terrible! I suspect one of two things: either his MMR was administered incorrectly, IM not SC as it should be, or he had a rare adverse reaction. The MMR vaccine has only been in wide use since the 90's. It has been in production since the 70's. Prior to this each component was given separately. Some people believe the Autism link is due to the combined vaccine. AS far as Google, Do I reallly need to explain to you that jst because a source is on the web, does not make it credible, or substantiated? That link, I followed to the site warning about vaccines is pure hogwash! That so called Doctor is a PHD researcher "quack". PLEASE! You have to be very careful when consuming info on the internet. Just because its there, does not make it true.
And I find it pathetic that most people would just take other peoples word for what is best for their situation because"That's what works for everybody else". Aren't we all individuals?
I find it sad that one who lives in the world today, wouldn't bother to question or reaserch what we know to be true in the past with new data and studies. These things (studies) don't happen over night-they take forever.
The study of the brain is still evoloving. so to say that a PHD researcher is full of it is a little absurd- The brain scans that can be done these days are opening a whole world we never knew about. Google: Dr. Amen the Amen clinic. He's been a leader in brain scans.

FYI
Last November 07 I took my then 11 month and 3yr old boys into the doctor's office for well baby visits and she offered the influenza shots for both. I asked her if the shots were thimerisol free and she stated no but that she could order thimerisol free shots for both of them if I wanted. I also asked if the flu spray was a better alternative and she said no that the spray also has thimerisol, and the spray she said she could not order it thimerisol free. I have a friend whose Dr. told her that he agreed that children recieved too many too soon but that he felt parents would find it impractical if he proposed a schedule that would break down the vaccines into 1 every month or every 2 months and no combo shots- screw practicality Make the schedule and I'm sure parents would follow it if they knew that this was to avoid giving their child and incurable disorder.
And just to be clear parents are not against vaccines in today's world -
we're merely for having the government create a better vaccine schedule because right now our children recieve too many too soon
we also need the government to make it mandatory for newborns to have a test that can show whether their immune system is strong enough to handle all the shots and if not, start the babies on supplements that can help make their immune system stronger- so that parents know that it's okay to wait until their baby is ready to recieve shots.
Its time the government took responsibility and began cleaning up the mess before the problem gets worse. We're at 1 in every 150 kids what's it going to take to change the current process?
And just so you know yes I am one of those "hysterical parents with a degree from Google" who refuses the current vaccine schedule for my baby - but what you may call hysterical I call well informed and let me tell you Knowledge is Power- the most important thing a parent can do is get informed and make decisions for the future of their children using all the information available to them as well as following their gut instinct. Personally I'm waiting until my son turns 2 before I start vaccinating him 1 vaccine at a time with a few months inbetween to give his body a chance to adjust and recover from the vaccine before doing it again.
parents just know that it's a personal choice that you shouldn't let any else make for you.
God Bless!

You are right to follow your instincts by waiting to vaccinate you son until he is older and his body is stronger. Thimerosal isn't the only undesirable ingredient found in vaccines. Just Google "vaccine ingredients" and you will find reputable websites regarding info on what else can be found in them. It's repulsive to say the least. Also you can read another thread on this forum stated "autism and vaccines" and you will find a list of ingredients another member found.
I completely agree with you that the current vaccine schedule gives too many too soon. I don't think that parents would mind the "inconvenience" of making a few more trips to the Dr.'s office if they knew the reason behind it. You are your baby's biggest advocate and parents shouldn't feel intimidated or belittled by their decision to vaccinate on their own schedule. I did.
The woman on here that claims she is an RN is completely out of line with her "hysterical parents that have their degree from Google" comment. Her job is to be informative and helpful and not judgemental and belittle parents. Just b/c a parent may not have a degree in nursing doesn't make them uneducated or misinformed. Depending on when she went to school, she may not be up to date on the latest in medicine. And for the record, plenty of professionals use "Google" themselves. You never stop learning.
o12nv2 and estrella: That comment about Google was made almost a year ago so I doubt very much the person who offended you is still here. It was a harsh comment, but I see what she is saying. There are a lot of websites offering all kinds of conflicting information, and not all of them may be from genuine sources. I'm sure there are some people who read one website and make up their minds and go screaming into a doctor, while others such as yourselves do their homework, read books and are careful about the websites they choose to believe. I wouldn't take offense to it if the comment is not directed at you.
