Mar a Lago Turkey Burger

I find it difficult to source minced turkey in South Africa.

I'd like to try this recipe using Ostrich mince. Has anyone out there tried it this way yet?

I'd like to hear from you.

Don't know anything about ground ostrich, sorry. Just a warning, whatever meat you use, DO NOT USE AMOUNT OF BLACK PEPPER CALLED FOR HERE!! Use only 1/2, i.e., for 4 lbs. meat, use 1 Tbsp., if you cut the recipe in half as I did, use only 1/2 Tbsp. Mine was awful, after all that work, tasted like a slab of meat with PEPPER.

I checked other websites for this recipe and that's how I found the error - almost all of them call for only 1/2 the amount of pepper that Oprah's lists. FYI . Good luck with the ostrich dilemma.
