Mar-a-Lago turkey burgers - error in recipe

Just spent close to an hour dicing, chopping, pureeing, etc. ingredients for this recipe( not to mention allowing 2 hours in frig and preparing grill ).

Unfortunately, the amount of black pepper called for is actually double what I believe should be used. I only made l/2 the recipe - and thus used 1 Tbsp. black pepper and full recipe calls for 2 Tbsp. It seemed like a lot, but I followed recipe exactly. After all the work and anticipation, all we could taste was PEPPER!! That amount of pepper completely masked all the other flavors that should have been there, i.e., the apple, celery, cutney etc. It was just a slab of turkey loaded with pepper!

How disappointing! Went on the Internet and checked other websites for the recipe and most all of them did call for only 1 Tbsp. black pepper for the entire 4 lbs. turkey version. So I, of course, should only have used l/2 Tbsp. and not the full Tbsp.

It is a fairly labor-intensive recipe anyway, so not something I'll probably try again real soon. Too bad someone didn't catch that error.

Anyone else have the same experience? With the right proportion of pepper, I'm sure these burgers WOULD be wonderful! Guess we'll send out for pizza!
