Problem#1, because of my heart and my thyroid I have to really watch my sodium and fat intake.Problem#2 ,my family really likes pizza. Problem solved. First up ,Pizza Fondue: 1 lge.jar ,low sodium spaghetti sauce, 2 (8oz.)blocks cheese, cubed*, 1 loaf of Italian bread, cut or torn into small cubes,1 pkg. turkey pepperoni, you will also need bamboo skewers. If you have a fondue pot you can use it to heat the sauce, otherwise heat in a pot on the stove and transfer to a serving bowl(you can also heat in the microwave).Place cheese cubes, bread cubes and turkey pepperoni in separate bowls. Skewer pepperoni, cheese, and bread and dip into sauce.* I use low- fat colby jack and sharp cheddar, but you can use anything you like . The second recipe is a pizza hot dog. I use chicken or turkey low sodium hotdogs .I have recently found whole wheat hot dog rolls and they were pretty good. This is so easy,it's just hotdog, turkey pepperoni, shredded, lowfat mozzarella cheese and spaghetti sauce. When I make these I also serve a nice green salad. What's great about both of these recipes is they are easy, inexpensive and my kids love them. I hope you try them both and enjoy .If anyone has any questions ,I'd be happy to help you . Take care .
