Spring

Posted on Mar 20, 2008 1:31 PM

The first day of Spring and I just got my hair cut. I like my hairdresser she always does a fantastic job and that's why I keep going back to her.

Having my hair cut on the first day of Spring gives a person a special lift.

The start of a new season, although this year even though the sun is shining, it appears winter doesn't want to leave. (It's still cold!!!!)

Coffee with the other regular swimmers mostly seniors, I am the young one of the group and they and I enjoy each others' company. This mornings discussion was about taking the bus ride up to Orillia which included buffet lunch all for $6.00. Guess what? I'll be going with them. I've been on those trips before with them a few years ago while I was trying to find out what was wrong with my back. They are so full of life and history.":x"

Reading Other Peoples Blogs

Posted on Mar 11, 2008 9:03 PM

You really get a better perspective when you read someone else's story. There are literally thousands. All interesting. Some are short and sweet, others long and intense. Not to say that short ones aren't intense or the long ones sweet. The writings of everyone is unique. The styles are sometimes similar and once in a while you stop to read just because it is bold and colourful. There are "X-(" grumpy ":8}" smiley faces and the different emotions that change to text in the final save at times. You learn you can use more features.

There are different stories, comments, opinions, poems.

The world of reading the discussions, blogs, opens up more to living when you seize the moment.

Each Person Is Unique - There are no doubles

My son once said what if you were given a new family? You would have to treat them like your own and accept them.

There is one situation that would make the above difficult that would be when a person regains his/her memory, the new family would have no idea of what happened. Even if the family that was given, closely resembles their original family.

When an Ideology of the 1st and 2nd World War was continued everyones' lives is affected. The old saying Children are seen and not heard. What grownups forget is children listen.

What was said in the past, those that heard and participated are now seeing the results.

This applies to all around the world. As the idealogy was continued everywhere they were sent.

I learned this though, knowing what really happened in the past also means we know how to undo some of the damage that was and is being done.

The New Experience

Posted on Mar 5, 2008 9:11 AM

Ahhh. The experience of an interactive event via internet with everyone from around the world wasn't as successful. Actually, the experience showed how much more work has to be done in order to make the experience more smooth.

Reading and participating in the message boards about the telecast is an experience in itself. You read peoples' opinions and you can reply. It does not mean you'll get a response right away as the person who starts the discussion may not be online. So you check back later and read the persons response.

I'm of the opinion that everyone likes to write and have their voices heard. I'm no exception. I always wonder if any one reads what I write so when I participate in a discussion I know someone is reading what I have written.

Blogging like this, I never know if anyone reads it.

There is a comment button. I've used it twice on other blogs I've read. That shows you how many I've actually looked at.

I've been writing for about two to three years on Oprah.com first in the online journal and when she changed it to a blog.

I am going to make it a point to read other peoples blog and leave a comment so they'll know someone is reading.

Just another way of listening.
