Overnight the city had its first major snowfall. To wake up in the morning to see clean crisp white everywhere. Snow is so pretty when it first falls on the ground.
To sit and lookout the window with a warm cup of java and meditate on life itself. One of the cats on the top of the backrest and the other on the side arm, both with smiles. The dog is sleeping in front of the chair, also with a smile.
The moment ends when you need to shovel the snow. Then it is no longer all white, now the colours of the earth are shown. The grey black of the cement driveway. The little bit of green from the grass on the edges and the fallen leaves with their pretty yellows, red, and orange.
Once the snow is shoveled it is back to the window and chair with the one cat on the backrest and the other on the side arm, plus the dog once again sleeping in front of the chair. Another cup of java and some christmas music to listen to and now the many vehicles that slowly pass in front of the window.
Is life just passing by, or am I thinking of what next to do, or am I resting my weary bones from all the shoveling. "
