When You Wonder Why

Posted on Oct 16, 2007 6:49 PM

When you wonder why more people didn't write about someone and you are writing about someone from another country. You soon realize the answer. Part of research is asking WHY?.

I had a gut feeling that the person I asked if she remembered me when I was little wouldn't. Only now do I remember she never really interacted with me. I just observed her and what she discussed being much older.

When I see events or activities that older people talked about long, long ago come to life, I realize how short time is and how small the world really is. How connected each one of us really are.

We can always change the way we treat each other and when we realize fully the impact of what we do to each other. The most difficult concept is how we try to control the earth and how unforgiving it can be because we can never control the elements fully. As many interconnecting chambers and plates of varying degrees can work alone or in one of many combinations of which we have no true concept of until it happens and then it is too late.

One of my grade school teachers asked how do we want to be remembered. I remember writing "That I cared". Nothing about being famous, richest person, actor, or some famous painter or athlete. Just that people remember that I cared.

I enjoyed seeing the long pen and the history lesson on former President Nixon by the moderator and the author.

Life is about living and learning each day ....and sometimes just mellowing out.
