Have you ever had an experience where you see some one and feel that you met them before?
I recently picked up a book at the library and when I opened up the back cover I saw the photo of the man. I thought it was strange at first until I started reading the book.
The book is called "The Man Who Forgot How to Read" by Howard Engel. He tells his story of his stroke and how he had to relearn his favourite pasttime and what he did for a living. Reading and writing.
When he talked about his early years of writing he reminded me of a young man who came to the nursery school/daycare that was operated on the property of an orphange and tried to tell the story of Jack and the Beanstalk to all of us. Only when the strings got tangled did the kids notice his left hand and didn't want to help with untangling the puppets. He was very hurt and I tried to help him because he was a friend of my best friend's father and he made us laugh when he'd retell nursery rhymes using our names Charles and Trudy (ages 4).
He a few years later he performed at the parish hall for the brownies/girl guides and boy scouts and know one noticed his left hand because even though the marionettes got tangled once he masterly untangled them without stopping the performance.
I saw this person recently at a distance at the Word on the Street in Toronto near the ceremony for the firefighters.
So Is it Coincidence or just by chance?
